Buying a car from a Subaru Car Dealer
I saw an extremely good deal on the windshield of one off I-70 as I drove by last week just west of St. Louis. Which area of Missouri do you live in for the MO guy? I just bought and was looking all the way over to Columbia and West to Salina and ended up buying in Topeka KS. Look back a few pages. If you are looking for 06's, check out the Lawrence KS dealership. He has some 06's. IF you intend to drive the car into the ground, year doesn't make a difference and and 06 can reduce the taxes. That's not a big deal in some states, but can be in places like KS, something like 125 bucks.
Hi, I got mine from Figgs Subaru in Topeka Kansas. That's where I got my last one in Feb 05. This is the shortest time for owning a Suby but the deal was too good to refuse. I could have gotten a plain X and essentially have come out within a thousand bucks of being even from my old one on that, but that was because I got a killer deal on the first one is my take and because of the tax thing here where you only pay on the value difference instead of the total price. That was worth almost a thousand for me since my old Forester was only 8K something different in value. I did have to get white which is one of my least favorite colors, but I guess I will just have to suffer(grins). Nothing is selling out here. The rumor is that one of the dealerships within a hundred miles of here might even go out of business. The KC dealership(s) don't deal much but for example, the Lawrence KS dealer still has a few 06's in automatics. I wanted a stick and this was about it, but there are a couple of 06's in Lawrence that look really good if you want an automatic. You can check stocks out from the Subaru.com website looking under the dealers section. Regarding the 500 rebate, I gave mine back for a 5.9% rate from Chase. There are also Subaru Loyalty discounts in some regions right now for 500 bucks through tomorrow I guess. Mine came out in the last week of the month. There will probably be another incentive next month and it could be for more. The Edmunds site here has an area that will tell you whether it is best to take the rebate or the financing in the pricing area. Heck, it might be worth the drive based upon some other prices I have seen.
Forgot to mention, this is the 5-speed manual transmission model. Only installed options (besides the Limited package itself) are the upgraded security system and the auto-dimming compass mirror. M
Here in KC area there are hardly any 2.5i Limited wagons left - I think we got the last one today. We were quoted $22,800 plus got an extended warranty to bump Subaru's normal 3/36 warranty up to 5/60 bumper-to-bumper. OTD total after taxes and fees and minus $1500 customer cash was $24,630. We were very happy, to say the least. It's sitting in the garage now. Michael
I still know of a new one on the lot for 19,995. It could be lower now... In Lawrence KS. If you go to Subaru.com and look up dealers in KS they still had a NEW 04 Turbo Forester (as of about five days ago)... Lots of 05's...
