Another is why not just drive the 30 miles to the other dealer and have them price match, most do. How much did they want you to pay for the car with MSRP of 24, 041? I think you should look at other subaru dealerships before cutting them out.

We wish there was a similar website for all of our purchases and decisions! We're in the middle of shopping for a financing deal but it appears as though the Subaru dealer's 4.5% is hard to beat... I'm looking at the 2009 Forester - Premium package with automatic transmission. So far, we've contacted a number of dealers with the CT area and the best we've been quoted has been $22660 but I'm not sure if this includes all the other fees such as the doc fees etc... Is this a fair price? On Edmunds - it appears as though the invoice price is $22744. Does this include all the fees (doc fees)? Thanks for the advice - we're noobies to this whole process :)

I know up here in CT I paid 23200 for a car with an MSRP of 25800. (Not the OTD prices) Your convinence fee may be different also, so OTD will be diff. Personally I wouldn't get the sub/amp I would just do it aftermarket and get better ones. You should easliy get below invoice which i did and I got their holdback taken off also but took some negotiating. Hope this helps

My New Subaru Forester: by phdhusky on Sat May 10 18:53:27 PDT 2008; So finally pulled the trigger and got the Forester. As I am graduating this Sunday my parents were up (CT) and we went to look for cars. I knew all my numbers and had my quote but ended up buying a model with a few more options. Got a 2.5X Premium with sport grill, wheel well molding, splash gaurds, rear bumper cover, spoiler, wheel locks for 23200. I thought this was a fantastic price as and it didn't take too long, just a little dealing from my father. I passed on the base premium with floor mats, rear bumper cover, and splash gaurds for 22500. So if you are in CT you can def get that or better if you do your hw and get a couple of dealers in the game. Harte Subaru is great to work with and the internet service is nice.
