Re: Just bought an '08 Oulook XR at invoice.. [jeninca]

Hi, Yes, the dealer is called Saturn of Torrance. And, you guessed it, it is in Torrance CA (in LA), off of 405 Fwy and Hawthorne Blvd (I believe). Google it and you will find it. Or better yet, request a quote through edmunds and you'll get an email from them. Use their ZIP code: 90503. They are very quick to respond. Unlike most other Saturn dealers I dealt with, they were the only ones to offer me a quote (initially when I started inquiring back in May of '07). But, because I waited for the '08 model, on that request, they just stated they would give me 'invoice pricing' on whatever they had on their lot. Good luck.
07 Camry vs 07 Aura XR
by stevestr1 on Wed Aug 08 10:33:07 PDT 2007
I am contemplating which car to lease for 24 months. I have no experience with Saturn cars. I owned an 00 and 04 Camry, LE 4 bangers both of which never had a single problem. I am driving about 20K miles year freeway/city outside sales between covering all S.Cal area. The company is paying for the lease. I see that GM/Saturn has special lease rates but nothing on the Camry. Here's a copy of 24mth lease offer on the Saturn site for the 07 XR: 2007 AURA XR - Lease $286.00 per month 24 month lease $1,995 due at lease signing for qualified leasees No security deposit required. Tax, title, license and retailer fees are extra. For qualified lessees. Lease payments based on specially equipped 2007 AURA XR with MSRP of $24,995, a capitalized cost of $23,131 and a residual value of $17,746. 24 monthly payments total $6,864.00. Option to purchase at the lease end for amount to be determined at lease signing. GMAC must approve lease. Take delivery by 09/04/2007. Mileage charge of $.20 per mile over 24,000 miles. Lessee pays for maintenance, repair and excess wear. Payments may be higher in some states. Residency restrictions apply. Not available with other offers. I can buy miles @ 0.15 each in advance plus tax. MSRP is most likely going to be closer to 25,995 or so. Not sure what money factor is on this lease offer. Anyone know? I read lots of negative buyers ratings on the 07 Camry (IE engine stutter mainly and other issues) My only worry is the Aura has no cabin filtration and the Camry does. Driving in LA smog everyday is not all that healthy without the cabin filter. Your comments/suggestions are appreciated! :)
GREAT Trade In Deal
by myvuesblue on Thu Dec 15 08:25:23 PST 2005
I purchased a Blue 2006 4Cyl. Vue in Las Vegas last week. It has the Chrome Skid Plate Package, and Alloy Wheels. I received a $500. Auto Show Discount, AND will be mailed out the free $500. Target Gift Card. Plus a added Internet Discount for $400. We can use at the Parts/Service Center! We traded a 2003 SR5 2WD Toyota Sequoia that ate us alive in fuel/maint. costs. Saturn of West Sahara Gave Us A Even Up Trade With NO OUT OF POCKET Money for us at all! No other dealers we asked would do it; Toyota, Dodge, GM, PLUS all low balled the trade at only 16k to 17k. They claimed that's all they could get at auction for it! Internet Sales Mgr.Gave us $19,320 New Saturn is $19,820. My wife and I both love the way it looks/rides/handles, and are REALLY Happy With The Deal We Got. Saturn Rules!
Re: Saturn Ion: Prices Paid & Buying Experience [airboss]

I'm glad the info was helpful. I heard about the flex cash first in an ad in the LA Times from Saturn of Cerritos. They mentioned the 3000 rebate plus 2000 off on Flex Cash. I tried to reserach "flex cash" on the internet. Couldn't find much. Then I checked with several local dealers sales managers and received good information. The Saturn "ideal" was that everyone would pay the same price for the same car. But in todays world that isn't realistic, especially with the high MSRP. I would not have purchased my Saturn at 15,500. I might have at 12,500 but I might have waited for the 2005 models since I wasn't in a hurry to buy. Once the price dropped on the car I wanted (the right color, right options, etc) to 10,500.... That gave me a reason to buy NOW. And that's the way the market works. Price matters. Some buyers are very informed and pay less. Other buyers just wander into a dealership and pay more. The bottom line for Saturn is that the ION hasn't been selling as well as expected and they had too many of the 2004 in the pipeline. They had to move 2004 IONs that had been on the lot too long. Lowering the price is the way to do it. I've put on 650 miles on my Saturn and love it. Especially the gas mileage with actual San Diego urban usage 29mph.
