Re: unexpectedly purchased an Astra [diexodos1]: by pafromfl on Sun Aug 24 20:43:57 PDT 2008; I bought it in Melbourne FL.The current GM employee discount for everyone may help you lower the price. I'm really enjoying my Astra. It has nice little touches like a hydraulic strut to keep the hood open, rear reading lights, and rain-sensing wipers. For its size, it provides a surprising amount of room for four adults. The engine seems happy lugging along at 1500 rpm, and I have yet to stall it even though I hadn't driven a manual in many years. It handles very well in spite of the torsion rear axle (as opposed to fully independent). In fact, it is more fun to drive around town than my BMW 330i because I can drive it hard without violating traffic laws (although it is quiet enough that at first I tended to creep past speed limits when cruising). If I push my BMW hard, many laws get broken very quickly.

PONTIAC G6: by sandman46 on Tue Aug 12 17:09:06 PDT 2008; Is the G6 the sister car of the Aura and Malibu? They all seem very close in length and appearance. Just curious. Had a G6 this last week and was a great road car. The Sandman :)

[theresa11]: by steelerman on Fri Jan 11 07:39:14 PST 2008; One more question...the dealer that I went to had additional charges on the Aura; a $995 charge for detailing, pinstriping, window tinting, etc and a $695 charge for interior protection - scotchguarding, etc. Can these charges be asked to be removed? Do all Saturn dealers have these charges? I experienced the same thing when I bought my 07 XR. The dealership in Savannah would not budge on these expensive add-ons (rip offs). So I went to Jacksonville, FL and bought one without the ~$1,000 mark up. Bottom line: you can try to negotiate the add ons!

I have a lease calculator, just need the MF/lease rate and residuals. I am specifically interested in a 36-39 month lease w/ 12k miles in New Jersey. Thanks a lot for your help.

2007 Saturn Vue: by roadwarrior4 on Sun Dec 23 22:09:11 PST 2007; I bought the 07 Vue in August 2007. Sticker was $23,651. V-6, Onstar, 6 disc CD changer, cloth seats. No roof rails. Had dealer added pinstripe and mudflaps which I talked them into giving me at 1/2 what they were asking for it. I got the employee price (9%off) and $3000 in rebates. I did not trade anything. Also got 2 years of scheduled maintenance included. I live in Orlando but since they were out of cars, I went about 100 miles to Lakeland FL. The dealership was very courteous. I was out the door at $19600 including taxes, title etc. Had my own financing already arranged through my credit union. It now has 4000 miles on it and no problems.
