About to get my 2007 Aero SportCombi
by biggimp on Tue Nov 06 21:02:35 PST 2007
I just finished purchasing an '07 Aero SportCombi w/ 6-speed. There was a HUGE mix-up with my dealer, and they wound up selling me a car they had already sold! Fortunately, they tracked one down in Austin, TX and had it shipped a couple thousand miles to me at no charge. It should be ready tomorrow. The final price was exactly $28K - the only option was a cold weather package. HOWEVER, the Austin car has the touring package, and my dealership here is adding heated seats, also at no charge. I think 28K for this is pretty solid, considering I'm getting the cold weather package (minus the front washers) and touring package. I still can't believe that they sold me a car they didn't have. I knew I was in trouble when I went to give them the final check and the salesman took me into a back room, closed the door, and broke the news to me. If I hadn't signed paperwork and given them a downpayment, I would've been completely out of luck.

Thanks redrunkev, I went in this week to pick up the saab 93. Here is the deal MSRP = $32500 (Auto, Premium, Sunroof, Cold weather packages) Selling price = $27100 ( Including the GM Employee discount and Dealer cash back of 2500) Residual = 59% 12k per year Including tax $425 per month In Illinois the law is to pay taxes on the Selling price for all leases. I think this is the law for IL and TX. Can any one confirm that I got the a decent deal ?

My Inquiring Mind - ?s on servicing Saabs
by kk2482 on Thu Dec 29 18:34:41 PST 2005
I've never owned a Saab, and was wondering - is it was expensive to maintain? Is the dealership the only place where the oil can be changed, and other standard maintenance be done? Is this frequent or rare - and pricy or avg? Does the Saab 93Linear come with the old style belts or the long lasting steel belts? Thanks a million! ;)
ARC Price
by ckingtw on Sun Jun 19 16:48:14 PDT 2005
My dealer has an ARC on the lot with auto trans, metalic paint and power moonroof. for $26545 with all incentives and discounts. I don't want the moonroof so I'm going to try and negotiate the price down further. For those of you who have already purchased during this promotion, any luck negotiating price down beyond advertised emp discounts and incentives? How about the lease options. Did anyone feel the lease fees were fair or do you get hosed?
Current 9-3 Incentives
by ckingtw on Sat Jun 18 23:33:34 PDT 2005
This is what I've been offered by the dealer. Can anyone tell me if this is good, bad or ugly based on your buying experience? What incentives and discounts are out there to be tacted on? I'm pre-approved at 4.95% for up to 60 months through my credit union as a straight purchase but it appears I can't get the incentives beyond employee discount without leasing. Am I missing something? 93 Linear: End price before TTL $21900 w/auto trans - no other upgrades Included discounts and rebates: Option 1 1) Employee Discount 2) $4500 lease incentive (48 month @ 6.9%) Option 2 - new price $23900 1) Employee discount 2) $2500 incentive (purchase) 93 ARC End price before TTL $26300 w/auto trans - no other upgrades Included Discounts and rebates Option 1 1) Employee discount 2) $3500 lease inccentive (48 months @ 6.9%) In each of the two car scenarios the dealer has slid in preparation and advertising costs equalling $500 total. I say get them out of there. The dealer also has demos on the lot that he says are going for the same price as new...there has to be wiggle room there.
