To be fair, the dealer selling at that price hurts only other dealers, not saab. Saab sells more cars, and more parts in the future, etc... Those are some amazing prices. A 9-3 for 24K? I mean, wow. An accord EX-L is about the same on carsdirect.

"Hi jsf99. I have never personally tried to use GM Card points to lease a Saab, but I don't see why one could not do so." Unfortunately, GM specifically excludes saab and saturn from gm card points. I have a GM card, and these are the only GM cars i like, so it's sort of a waste for me. :)

I am sorry, i saw the leftover 2006 rebates: http://www.gmbuypower.com/currentOffers.jsp Again, sorry if i got anyone too excited. :) I looked, and i don't see any leftover 2006's in chicago. Actually, that would be a pretty sweet deal, i'd like a wagon...

Re: GM Card earnings for Saab [umbelwheat] by dhanley on Tue Jun 12 20:50:54 PDT 2007

That would certianly be news, but there's nothing on the gmcard site about it. Either it's a mistake in the payment estimator, or they just let someting slip! :) I have $1400 on my gmcrd right now... Along with the $7500 cashback on a 9-3 aero combi now, that would make a pretty sweet deal. :)

>and the fact that the average comparably equipped BMW has an MSRP that is higher than any of it's direct competitors has no bearing on this...right? Hm. That's a *little* bit of a stretch. Mercedes is certianly a direct competitior, and in some contexts more expensive companies like porsche and maserati are (m5 versus quatroporte?). Strictly speaking, saab and BMW are not competitiors, so it's hard really compare their cost/benefit. When i think of competitors for saab, i think acura and maybe even subaru.
