Well... I think that Porsche salesman was correct... You should have grabbed that Cayman when you had a chance!! ;) Oh well.... at least the wife is happy.. :( Seriously, the reason the Porsche salespeople are fuzzy about the lease deals is because they suck... (comparatively to BMW/Audi). If you are getting a Cayman, you are probably better off buying it. regards, kyfdx

1) The "coupon system" is no longer in effect. It got too confusing for the dealers as they would quote prices assuming they had the coupon to use and then sometimes they wouldn't have any left; not good! The great news though is that now it functions just like a typical rebate on every Cayenne. 2) The "rebates" are: $6,500 off "Turbo S" and "Turbo". $5,000 off "S" and only $500 off the "base V-6". 3) I think the best deal possible is Invoice less the full rebate. You can get the invoice price for your exact Cayenne at Edmunds.com. 4) Generally speaking I think the Cayenne's are leasing well. However, from what I've read in Mags., the newly restyled Cayenne is coming out later this year/first half 2010 and will be the same size but more musclar looking with every panel new. Oh, and there will be some new and interesting engines including a S/C V-6 from the new Audi S4. Not too bad for a "base" engine.

Oh, one more thing, I have been keeping an eye on inventories and haven't seen any cars moving so I expect the deals will only get better as this economy continues to drag along...

I just negotiated a great deal in the South Bay at Pacific Porsche. But prior to that, I had been speaking with a dealer in San Jose about a white Cayenne S I wanted... They were negotiating too. So if Walnut is saying they're not negotiating make a few calls and travel a few hours! It will be worth your time..... Look what I got! Here's what I posted in the Cayenne Leasing section...A BIG Thank You to Edmunds and all of you! I'm female and blonde and wasn't about to go to the dealer unarmed so I found this site and thanks to all of you who shared, I think I got a rocking deal on a New Cayenne S, two days ago. I took the information that I read here, found the car by searching the entire State of California, found the few that I wanted and basically told them what I would pay on a New Cayenne S, 3 year lease, 12k miles per year. A few dealers later, a few hours invested and I got exactly what I wanted!!!!! I will share what I negotiated. MSRP $69,395.00 $63,312.00 Final Price (9% off MSRP)!!!!. Monthly Payment, Including TAX and LoJack, $899.00 I did trade in my O4 Porsche Cayenne which represented a $4,785.reduction so you need to take that in to account. Zero cash out of pocket. Residual Value appears to be 61%. I was told that the Lease Factor that I got was .025 although I can't verify that on my paperwork. I hope this helps others! Thanks again! Oh and by the way, I'm in Southern California. Ratings!

getting into it

I have a 2007 M45 and am looking to buy a 2003 cab with 12,000 miles... looks to be in terrific condition, i called the dealer regarding the service history and other than a window motor, it is clean. i read on the post about a RMS leak? what is it and should i worry... i also need a recommendation about a good aftermarket warranty company from which to purchase an extended and if it is even worth doing so. finally, does anyone know of a good mechanic in South Florida so i can avoid using the dealer...oh yeah, the car does not have the PSM management system... is it really that important or can i live without it.. car will be used primarily on the weekends... and on date night :) thanks
