Greetings: Yes, I talked to the salesperson who sold me my 2006 C2S, recently , and he related that the number of cars being shipped and available build slots for the " S" have been greatly decreased by Porsche ( 997 )... ( I live in North County San Diego, CA ). With the flush pockets that Porsche now has and the complaints about the excess production ( thereby increased depreciation ) in previous years ( 996 ), maybe Porsche is protecting my investment.. I hope so. Chromedome
Yes - it starts life out as a VW engine, gets new heads, pistons, valve-gear [Variocam Plus] and ECU. Which makes it for practical purposes a Porsche engine..... Then again Cayenne's chassis too originates at VW and is put together at Leipzig by Porsche. Bapcha
Car_Man - I have been looking at a Cayman S with Tiptronic in the San Francisco Area. The features on the car are the preferred package Plus & powerseats, xenon headlights.... MSRP:$68,450 Price they offered: $63,400 Term: 39 month lease Miles: 15K Drive off is $2500 Monthly Rate: $1001 (including tax - SF, CA) This seems high and they claiming the residual for the Cayman S w/tiptronic is only 49%. But I keep seeing much higher on this site - am I getting ripped off? Thanks
I was curious about what a lease price for a 2006 Carrera 4S Should be? I saw one at Newport Auto Center with a sticker price of about 100K. What are your thoughts on how much can be negotiated on this price. What would I be looking at for a 4 year lease with 15k miles a year with no down payment. Thanks. Slayer
