Buying an 06 GTO Auto New: by irishmike1 on Wed Aug 29 14:05:31 PDT 2007; I placed an order today for an 06 GTO Auto from a dealer in CT (I am in NY). Vin 6G2VX12UX6L517974. Should I be worried about the struts. The car comes with the 3/36 warranty. What kind of MPG should I expect. Any recomendations on the milage for the first oil change?

Probably would have tried even another dealer but worn down since I was also negotiating for the RAV4 and a Mistubishi with less than stellar results. Must be the area I live in, too many people. Taking days to negotiate but this was the best I could do. :( AWD MSRP $26260 -$1000 off -$2000 rebate +$185 Conveyance fee BS (after deal was done this got thrown in at signing, bastards.) YES, dealers do make these "special secret deals" with the manufacturer. There is nothing wrong with this - it is totally legit. Private contracts are indeed legal in USA. Typically the more cars the dealer sells in one year, the lower they can negotiate their per-vehicle dealer-cost for the next year. The actual dealer cost of a vehicle is known in some circles as the "dealer memo price". to get something here about the actual price of GTOs - anyone out there purchased a 2006 lately - please tell us what you paid? i continue to be astonished at the incredible quality & performance of my 05 GTO. I paid invoice price minus GM card $3000 for my 05: $27068.
