Re: Sunroof question [dgluth]

Correct, a sunroof is not an option on the GTO. I thought I would miss it, but truthfully, I don't even think about it. You are missing out if a sunroof is holding you back. However, a number of guys have installed the OEM sunroof from Holden. It's the Webasto Hollandia 710. Search on it at ls2gto.com and you will see pictures of it installed. Most are paying about $1,200 for the part/labor.

No kidding... you screwed up. Did you not know about the 0%/72 offer going now? You should have got a 2006 for 0%/72. Are you paying interest? If you paid cash, you could have got the 0%/72 and put your $28K into a CD or online savings account making 5% APY. The 2005 has probably been on the lot for almost a year not being drive. The 2006 would have cost about the same as the 2005 in the end, with a lower car payment probably.
0% financing on 2006's
by theericharris1 on Mon Jun 26 14:46:58 PDT 2006
The lowest quote I received on a leftover 2005 was $27000 (automatic, 17" wheels). GM is going to offer 0% financing for 72 months on 2006's, the rumor has it. Should start either tomorrow or on the 1st of July. Don't settle for a 2006 (M6 18") for more than $30,000 and the 0%/72 months.
My Last Resort
by wdavis2 on Fri Jan 06 14:27:32 PST 2006
I found my Solstice at the last dealer in my area that had not received the Solstices that they ordered. This was lucky for me but they increased the price by $3000 over MSRP. They got my $3000 but they won't sell any more cars to any of my friends and all of those new people who ask me about my car. Another dealer in my area (Crown pontiac, Metairie, LA)had sold their allotment of Solstices at MSRP. They are my preferred dealer.

Depends where you are. I have heard that you are more likely to see MSRP and above pricing in the L.A. and Las Vegas areas, as well as South Florida. If you're somewhere in the Midwest, no way. I personally would never pay more than MSRP for any new car. Strongly suggest you check other dealerships. GM's "offer employee pricing to everyone" deals start on June 1. Of course, this may not be as good a deal as you might think, since rebates will either go away or be significantly reduced... --Robert
