I went looking at some cars this weekend and stopped in front of a GTO. I had no idea what kind of car it was till I asked. The body style grabbed my attention. I pulled up in my Nissan Maxima which is already a quick car in my eyes. I told the salesman I was just looking and had no clue what kind of car I wanted. He pointed me to the GTO and said if you want to have fun lets go take this car out. He did this knowing I wasn't ready to buy that day. (Sunday) I ran the piss out of the car and really liked it. I am looking at it very seriously. The only issue I have is the bad interest rates that GM is offering. Other than that the car was a lot of fun. :)

My lease by cracovian on Tue Dec 28 18:06:14 PST 2004

I got my 2 year lease for $126 a month x 23. 12K mile allowance, the total of $2898 payments, drove from Atlanta to Chicago for Christmas next day, the car drove great and it's a steal! GM might have gotten hosed in that deal but they got this import boy converted for sure :-) It's a PS2 on wheels!

GM card is selective with their mailings by cracovian on Thu Dec 23 07:59:32 PST 2004

The bottom line is that you need to have a few dollars in earnings (I got ~$200) and they usually round it up to $2000 each year. This year they added additional $3000 to three 2004 GM models including the GTO. Not every cardmember gets this mailing and it's too late to get one now anyway, especially if you're a new applicant.   It seems like normally $1000 is the limit for the GTO but my dealer confirmed all $5000 would apply before January 3.   If it hadn't been for the extra unreasonable fees AND my wife, that pulse red baby would be mine by now :-)

No, you can't by cracovian on Wed Dec 22 05:50:19 PST 2004

I went to the lowest quoted dealer yesterday - he wanted invoice minus the incentives ($21,163) plus TTL and a bunch port and paint related fees. Only a few dealers have one or two GTOs left, they have decent lease specials on them that they can unload on unsuspecting victims, so no you can't get it that cheap...
