Re: Pontiac G8 GXP already has $1500 cash back [getinmycar] by beach15 on Thu Jan 08 19:02:17 PST 2009

Because, although fresh to arrive, the GXP is just another trim level of the same G8 that's in model year 2. It's a special car, but nothing so special as not to get the same small incentives as other trims of the same.

Yes it is! I was looking to downsize and after not getting the "feeling" in various 4-cyl econo hatches and such, I tried out the G6 coupe. First a GT and then a GXP...wow for both. Really loved the screamer 3.6L in the GXP but was also thrilled with the grunt of the GT as it was and liked the colors and options more, so I went with that. Love it, too. GREAT car! Congrats on the GXP. Sometimes I still think I'd really have loved that 3.6L/6-speed...but my 3.5L is still a little beast and is so far sipping gas like the big V8 sedan before it never could.

lease rates for the notheast by mercb230coupe on Thu Feb 02 13:29:24 PST 2006

Hi. I hope Carman does answer your question. If he does, if he, or someone else could answer mine that would be nice. I am thinking of leasing an 06 G6 GTP w 6 speed, leather and side airbags. I should be able to get the GM employee "friend" pricing. (Not the employee relative pricing which is a steeper discount.) If someone knows the pricing please let me know. Also, if anyone knows the current Northeast Lease "rates" for the 06 G6 please help me there. I would like to know the residual and the interest rate for leases from 24 to 36 months. GM just extend the g6's $500.00 rebate to 3/31/06 by the way.
