O'Reilly Buick GMC
I leased a 2008 GMC Acadia on 02/28/08. We made the deal several days earlier on an Acadia SLT1 with the options I wanted and the price I wanted in Carbon Black. Before I took delivery I asked the salesman John McLaughlin to see if he could locate one with the same option in Red Jewel and if not get the Carbon Black. 2 days later I contacted them and they told me that the could not find one in red with the exact same features and the Black one was no longer available. They found me a replacement that was more expensive so naturally my payment went up. I took delivery on the replacement on 02/28/08 and it has had nothing but problems ever since. It has been in the shop for 3 days for a check engine light that they said was nothing but a glitch. My other problem has been extremely poor gas mileage 7.2 MPG city. They said they tested that and got 16.6. Their test was no conducted in my presence and I suspect that they put highway miles on it to up the MPG reading on the DIC. Not having any luck with the service dept I turned to the salesman because after all he did sell me a 40,000 car and I had assumed that he would care that it was not running right or that I was not satisfied. I could not have been more wrong. He snapped at me and said, what do you want me to do about it. He told me I need to speak to a manager even though his title is internet sales manager, he said he could not help me. I asked to be transferred to a manager and he told me to hang up and call back. I said i would prefer if he transferred me and he began yelling at me again and hung up on me. I called the manager and told him then I called sales man back to tell him how rude it was to hand up on me and he began yelling at me in a threatening manner and finished by shouting an VERY obscene profanity before hanging up again. I am trying to work with the manager to get this matter resolved but I feel that I should warn prospective buyers that this internet sales manager John McLaughlin is a time bomb who seems unstable and clearly cares nothing about post sale satisfaction. Avoid Mr McLaughlin at all costs. If you choose to go to this dealer I would reccomend another salesperson. The managers have been nice so far through this problem but I am still shocked at how I was treated by Mr Mclaughlin and the fact that he is still employed there after such behavior.
