Purchased a 2003 Ford Focus in Feb. Drove it off the lot. On highway exactly 3 minutes later & the battery light comes on. Needed a new alternator. They replaced it for free. After this though it was ALL down hill! Two weeks later needed rotors resurfaced. They owed me a new rim. I had to call them a few times, 2 months later they order it. I drive up and it's the wrong type. Then they order the one that matches the rest and tell me they can't give me gas even though last time I drove up because of their mistake ( they are located 30+ minutes from my house). A week later there is a grinding noise and it sounded like a flat tire thump when driving straight and a helicopter when turning. Apparently they do their own "inspections" and they put a nut on wrong or something. They had to order/ replace a hub assembly, bearings and shaft. Even though it was THEIR mistake which they admitted they made me pay the deductible to fix the problem. WAIT it gets worse, they call me and say the key is stuck in the ignition!!!!! I have never had a problem with this! They make me pay for the part and labor. My husband calls 3 days later and asks if he can pick it up. The person on the phone says yeah, but the key is still stuck. When it was finally done we went to pick it up. I get into it and the radio is gouged on the screen and numbers. The heater control bezel scratched, and trim piece around the radio is scratched! They didn't even tell me! The associate who I spoke to before leaving was very nice, documented everything with a camera, and the parts were reordered. Later they call and say,"I hope you don't mind, but this radio has the buttons on the bottom." WOW, that was an understatement it also does not work! I called them over two weeks ago and told them I want the same type of radio I had before they scratched it. They haven't called me back. My husband says to not deal with them anymore, and not to leave my car with them. He is an airplane mechanic and can not believe they didn't tell me about the scratches before I came. He told me we should just buy a new radio. I don't think so. They owe me a radio and not some 1980's reject one. Also, the "new" poorly designed radio before completely dying would go off and then back on every time you hit buttons 2-5. Apparently you can remove this piece. It is so poorly designed, and they are so poorly managed. Bottom line, these people are a nightmare. Some of the people who work there are very nice, but as far as some of the mechanics, the Ford service manager, and his manager they have been a thorn in my side to put it nicely! PS: When I do get my radio I am not leaving my car there nor waiting for it. I just can't let them work on my car anymore. They just don't know how to.
