I went to take a test drive of a Kia here and was shocked at the old school aggressive approach this dealership used. All of their new cars have a $5000 premium over list price posted on the windows, including added profit for unwanted extended sales warranties, and other undesired accessories. This approach is designed to confuse you about the actual sale price of a vehicle that you may purchase from them, especially if you bring in a trade in. I was reminded of an old time dealership in the NY metro area where they almost lock you in an office to waste your time and keep you from shopping other dealerships. If you do shop here, stick to your guns and insist on a cash basis deal, and ask for the actual invoice price of the car and refuse any added profit making extras at the time of closing the deal, including overpriced extended warranties, rustproofing, fabric protection, and so forth. Go in knowing the invoice price of the vehicles, the actual trade in value of your car, easily obtainable from Edmunds or other on line sites, and insist on a fair markup above invoice, avoiding the overpriced warranties and so forth.
