I originally wanted a Kia Sportage but no dealer would negotiate on the car I wanted. After all there were only 2 in the entire Pacific Northwest. Since the Hyundai Tuscon was almost the same automobile, I switched gears. Of all the Hyundai dealers I contacted either by email, phone or in person, only Withnell came in with the price I was willing to pay. I bought the car sight unseen and when I arrived to pick up the car, the color wasn't as I had imagined so I thought we had no deal. Frank Hellhake, who handles Internet sales, told me to just hold on while he went through the lot to see what other colors they had. As it turned out, they had a Tuscon that didn't even show in inventory that was the color I would have chosen if I thought I had had a choice. I couldn't have been happier. It turned out to be exactly the car I dreamed of owning. It was a real pleasure dealing with the people at Withnell. No high pressure sales tactics, no haggling, they gave me exactly what I wanted. I went out of my way (from Portland to Salem or 40 miles) to do business with them, and they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. If every car-buying experience was like this, I'd buy a car every day.
