Naber Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram
I am almost too ashamed to tell my story but if it helps others aviod my mistake, it is well worth it. I considered myself to be pretty prepared when I went to this dealership but I think I left my brains not to mention my nerve in the parking lot. I had a price in mind and had picked out the vehicle I wanted. I also had in-hand, the title to my trade-in. I did not haggle on the price because of the rebates offered on my vehcile. It put me in the price range I needed. My salesman had written down the price he would give me on my trade, which was a decent amount consisdering it almost blew up driving into the dearship. He had figured the payments that I was comfortable with and had me initial that I would buy at that price. This is where it all went down hill. He came back out and asked me about the title to my trade. I pulled it out and showed it to him. He told me that everything was a go, and the finance manager was finishing up my paperwork. He told me that all he needed to finish was for me to sign the back of the title. I had the figures (that I had previously initialed) in my hand so I figured they could not go back on what was in writing. (WRONG) I signed the title and turned it over to the salesman. I was then taken into a the finance office and the salesman disappeared. The finance guy had me look over my paperwork. They had less in the trade-in block than what I had been told. I pointed it out to him. He immediatly got upset and called in the salesman. We looked over the figures and the salesman said I must have misunderstood him. He could not possibly give me that much for my trade-in with the rebates. I pulled out the paper that he had me intital earlier (I don't think he intended for me to have it) and the salesman really got pissed. He started shouting. I should have got up and left right then but I was frozen scared to my seat. I kept thinking in my mind about the title I had signed over and the blown up heap outside. I sat right there and got screwed bad. I got 1/2 of the trade-in I was quoted, I could not afford the extened warranty I had originally planned on getting or any other extras. They also got me on my interet rate by using the payment amount I had agreed on, and I ended up with 6 years instead of 5 to afford the payments. I will never deal with these people again! It really kills me to think of the money my [violative content deleted] of a salesman made off of me. It is now 2 years later and my warranty is out, it is falling apart and I owe so much on it I can't get rid of it. Thank goodness for Edmunds, because now I am more educated I will not let this happen ever again.
That's a horror story.
