Davenport for Life Sales Pitch

Davenport for Life (free oil changes, etc) was used as part of the sales pitch. This was the reason I chose to purchase from Rocky Mt. While living in New Bern and Littleton I had several Honda dealers making offers. Now that it's time for my first oil change, I discover that I'm not enrolled in the program. So it was simply a sales pitch. Another life's lesson learned. Get everything in writing. Promises are simply promises without the paperwork to back them up.

I was referred to this auto dealer, and sent to talk to Brian Greene; my journey on purchasing a car had been terrible, but Mr. Greene helped me to get my car, he was the nicest seller I ran into during the process, and trust me I visited a few auto dealers. Gene Langley was very attentive and helpful. He listened to what we wanted and how much we wanted to pay. Most dealers don't do this. If you want to buy a Honda, go to Davenport Honda and speak with Gene. Our buying experience was much shorter than going to other dealerships! I don't plan on going to any other dealership or dealing with anybody else but Gene!!!!! Dee Waters 2016 CRV EX owner! Love my car!!!

Wonderful Experience on purchase of new 17 CR-V

Just purchased a 2017 CR-V at Davenport thru salesman Gene Langley. My husband and I usually find it difficult to purchase a new vehicle however Mr. Langley was very pleasant and easy to work with. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle. He took his time to go over each and every detail with us. He made us feel very comfortable by being professional but yet very personable. He gave us a tour of the service department. We look forward to working with Davenport for our service. There is a Honda dealer in our hometown however we chose to travel to Rocky Mount from Roanoke Rapids to purchase here. Gene Langley is a great salesman. I would recommend this dealer and salesman to anyone looking to purchase. The other employees we came in contact with were also very personable and professional. The facility was comfortable and well maintained. We also look forward to being part of the Dealer for Life program as we normally keep our vehicles at least ten years.

Just purchased a car here and my experience was excellent! Everyone I worked with was extremely professional! Even the staff I didn't work with directly all spoke and greeted me with a smile during the time I was on the lot. After reviewing the site's inventory online and speaking with Ms. Charlene Hatfield, I knew exactly what car I wanted and got an appointment set up right away. On the lot, Mr. Steven Langley and Mr. Lee Braswell were great with the trade of my car and sale of the new car! Mr. Angelo Phillips worked out an amazing deal. There was no pressure from anyone to look at anything other then the car I was set on and I can appreciate that. I am extremely pleased with Davenport and their staff! Absolutely AWFUL

Been on the phone with this dealer for 2 days now. Finally both agreed on numbers, ran our credit, finished financing options, had paperwork and car all ready to go and they gave us the thumbs up to come get the car. We had to drive over 2 hours so we made sure everything was 100% before we left to pick up the car and sign paperwork. While we were on our way, We had received phone calls from 2 different managers and also the finance manager, all ensuring us everything was ready and all we had to do was sign. When we were about 30 minutes away, graham called to let us know that they couldn't sell us the car because they messed up and couldn't sell the car until the 15th because it was in a loaner status until the 15th. Also said he came in an hour and a half early this morning to work on this deal. But never once was this ever explained to us, it was never brought up about being an issue at all. He also said he spoke with the owner and said that he said they couldn't sell the car. Never once did he say they would do anything to make it right, didn't offer another car, NOTHING. JUST SORRY, we will not sell this car to you. I was very upset and expressed that to him. They had assured us over and over again that everything was done and ready to go. I then called the finance manager, Sam. He gave me a total different story and said that Graham had accidentally gave us the same factory incentive twice and that it didn't make business sense for them to sell us the car. I'm totally done with this dealership and don't recommend them to anyone. Save yourself the time and stress and go somewhere trustworthy and reliable.

I am so impressed with this dealership and just delighted that I happened upon the ad on the Internet. I drove to Rocky Mount yesterday, Feb.27, and bought a 2015 Honda CR-V. To begin with, I sent an email asking for information on the car. I received an email from Charlene Hatfield who manages Internet inquiries,.as well as a phone call. She is a credit to your company! Ms. Hatfield is so pleasant and makes one feel that she has all the time you need to discuss the car and answer any questions,.After speaking with her I knew we'd at least make the trip to Davenport to look at it. . I bought my car from Steven Langley who is just a delight. He was so very helpful and answered all my questions ~ sometimes the same ones twice. We really enjoyed the time we spent with Mr. Langley. One of the things that really impressed me so much with our experience with Mr. Langley is that he's not at all high pressure ~ completely unlike other salesmen I've dealt with. He doesn't push one to hurry up and decide ~ your time with him is almost like a visit. . . I know from having looked here in Raleigh that I got an excellent price on my Honda at Davenport. I also feel I got a very fair price on my trade. All in all, by driving from Raleigh to Rocky Mount I saved a good bit of money and also had a great experience. My husband and I hate the process of buying a car; but our buying a car from Davenport was actually a pleasant and fun experience; all employees were especially knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant.
