READ REVIEW OF STEVENSON AUTOMOTIVE GROUP DEALERSHIP SALES

Short version. Four months ago I needed to trade two Honda's for one unility car. I went to Stevenson Hyundai and they pitched me a fair sounding deal. Begged me to use Hyundai finance co so they could get their kick back, The interest was too high but I was assured I could re-fi NFCU which I knew of course. What I did not know or was able to find in the contract was that there was a early pay off clause so when I did my re-fi with NFCU I ended up paying close to four hundred dollars for the two weeks I was with Hyundai. I bought a 2007 Veracruz for close to sticker of 34K to get a reasonable trade in for my two Hondas. Four months later I noticed the Veracruz was getting 20 mpg on the hiway and my wife hated it as it was just too big. I went back to Stevenson and tried to trade it in for a smaller car and the best they would give me as a trade in was 23K. That is a loss of 11 thousand dollars in four months. I asked the 'sales manager' how he could make me such an insulting offer and he just laughed at me and said, that's the way it is. So, if you a want a car that holds it value, don't buy a Hyundai and if you want a dealer that has any sense of ethics, AVOID STEVENSON HYUINDAI AND STEVENSON TOYOTA IN JACKSONVILLE, N.C. AT at all costs. George Bear
