Purchased 2011 Frontier King Cab SV 4x4 by vrrogers_shift on Tue Aug 09 21:04:48 PDT 2011

Purchased the new truck about 2 weeks ago on an ad special. 2011 Frontier King Cab, Auto, 4.0LV6, SV trim with SV Premium Utility Package. Also has bed extender, Class IV Tow Hitch Receiver, XM Radio, Bluetooth, 6 Disk CD changer, spray in bed liner, and Util-Track System. MSRP was $28,945.00. Dealer offered a discount of $4,650.00 and with the $3,000.00 Nissan rebate the final out the door price before title and registration was $21, 295.00. Best part of deal was no haggling over price. I was happy with the deal and very happy with the truck. Will be adding a new A.R.E. MX Series Truck top very soon and be driving the truck daily for work. Color is Super Black. Truck was purchased in the Portland, OR metro area.

Altima 2.5S Pricing by pen2 on Tue Aug 10 12:12:34 PDT 2010

Portland, OR Nissan dealers consistently run newspaper ads for Altimas at $4000 to $5000 below MSRP. Often not just for a single car, but for all their Altimas. We recently paid $19,700 for a 2010 2.5S sedan with Convenience and Convenience Plus packages, with no other fees other than the license (no sales tax here). MSRP was about $24,800. There was no negotiation -- we just took the advertised price of $5100 below MSRP. We could have chosen any of a dozen other Altimas at the same discount off MSRP. The interesting thing (at least to me) is that this price was way below what all the online advice sites, including the Consumer Reports car price service, said was a good deal for this car. And again you see this pricing consistently in newspaper ads here. This has made me pretty skeptical of the validity of all the online pricing advice.

My New Ride by ram5014 on Sun Sep 20 16:59:49 PDT 2009

Just bought a new 09 NAH for $23,805 out the door. It has a conv pkg, and moonroof (after market included). This included registration and license until 2013. My next move is to apply for the state tax credit of $1500, and the fed. tax credit of $3250. This was near Portland, OR. No sales tax and cheap car registrations. I was looking for a regular Altima before cash for clunkers, but my trade in was a '97 Corolla and there didn't seem like any deals out there at that time. After clunkers ran out a few weeks ago I saw an ad for the Altima Hybrid plus the tax credits. Something I couldn't pass up. Are the maintenance contracts worth it? I do most all my work on my cars as far as oil change, and tire rotation. The sales guys says they charge over $100 just for an oil change, is that true?
