Buying a car from a Nissan Car Dealer
My wife just got a Marano S with Convenience Pacage, Floor Mats, and Splash Guards ( + Destination charge of 745) that had sticker of $29,535. We drove the vehicle away after paying a $403.69 first payment and now have 38 more payments of $403.69. We purchased just across the river in PA but were tied to the NJ taxes and fees that were included in the total lease.
No, unfortunately, the OTD price will be $26,844 with taxes, plates, no delivery charge. But, I will be getting 2.9 percent financing for 60 months, provided that I can prove stellar credit. BTW, I was offered a similar deal at Lynne's West Nissan in Stanhope, NJ.
This forum has been fairly helpful to me by going through experiences and I just wanted to share that I too have gone through and purchased my 2009 SL AWD (Merlot). To summarize, it seems that the Mid-west, West coast are the best places for deals on a Murano. The tri-state area dealers are sticking with their quotes and the best you end up getting is approx. $800-900 below invoice unlike the rest of our brethren who seem to walking away with as much as $3000 below invoice! I shall be sticking around if anyone wants to ping me on my experiences in NJ. I eventually made my deal through a dealer-partner of CarsDirect.com in Jersey City, NJ.
I'm probably going to lease a 2.5 S in the next week or so, and wondered if anyone had success negotiating with Nissan Dealers in the central New Jersey area. Most of the posts here refer to people's experience on the west coast (e.g., CA. WA.). Is it realistic for me to get a couple of thousand off invoice for this vehicle? ($1500 rebate + 580 holdback). If so, what percentage rate are they likely to offer on a three-year lease? I don't plan on putting anything down either, so I know the monthly payment might be a little higher as a result.
