Buying a car from a Nissan Car Dealer
SL AWD Platinum Graphite / Black Interior Premium Leather Moonroof Floor/Cargo Mats Splash Guards Retractable Cargo Cover $31700, plus tax (7%) and tags. So, it came out to around $34,550 with everything - invoice is in the car so I don't have the exact number to the penny. Financed at 2.9% for 60 months. We love the car. Edit: Forgot to add we bought from a dealer in Union County, NJ.
Okay gang, As you may have seen, I have finally found my deal. Unfortunately the dealer could not find my color so I decided to go with the Moonroof & Leather package SL AWD 2010. So here is the final deal. I traded in my 2007 AWD S Murano (17,567 miles). The dealer made a $17.965 payoff on it. The MSRP $36,180, the final price was $29,700. I was able to get the 6 yrs on it and still save about $900 in payments over the next 44 months. My new payment will be about $20 less than the other Murano and I financed about $500 less. The Invoice on the car was $32889, but being the 4th car that either me or my relatives bought through this dealer we got this Murano below the Invoice. I talked to the guy and he said that anyone who goes down to his dealer and mention me will get the car at invoice or about $100-150 above invoice. I am not buffling here, I so someone who say my post above on Edmunds and they were there as I was closing my deal. You can email me at cutco760@yahoo.com and I will give you the info. Happy hunting as some of you may have read, I went to 7 dealers in NY and NJ combined and this dealer was the best that worked with me. The burning smell is normal I test drove 3 and they all have it. I got my car with 12 miles on it after 100 it will fade. Happy holidays and if you are in the market email me and I will give you the info, this coming week will be the best for deals. I live in North NJ Union county.
Hey All, I bought a fully loaded '09 Altima Hybrid on 10/9/09 which stickered for $34,900; I paid $28,725 before taxes, licenses and fees. I am in union county NJ. That was the Edmunds TMV and what I shot for. However, when the sales manager wrote up the contract I saw that he included $4500 in rebates instead of the $3500 Edmunds had in the TMV. Ever since I walked out of the dealership I have been feeling like I got taken for a little ride. At a minimum, I paid $70 more in taxes (since rebates are taxable). But, I am also feeling like there was $1000 more wiggle room that I did not take advantage of. Out the door from the dealiership I eneded up paying $31,637.15. with the Tax incentive I am solidly under 30k. what do you guys think? Should I return the car (I have until tomorrow) or be happy with the deal I got? BTW - Valuable lessons learned; 1. ask friends and family what dealerships they like for buying whatever make you decide on. after i closed my deal i found out that a nissan dealership not to far away offered free oil changes and loaner cars for life on cars purchased from them. 2. take back control. ask the dealer what the rebates and incentives are available when you sit down. then you right down your numbers and present your numbers to them. i can not tolerate the "let me go ask" process. I need to buy another car in about a month. I am actually contemplating showing up with a cashiers check for the exact amount i am willing to pay out the door so that i can cut down on the BS. 3. check the dealer's website before going to see if they have any special incentives. the dealership i bought from was offering a $250 gas card but i needed to present the coupon upon walking into the dealership. a scam i am sure, but i feel like i still missed out.
Hello all - I've been doing some research and I think I'm out of my price range for the 3.5. Can I get the 2.5 CVT with the tech package and leather? Still want to lease for 36 / 39 12K and keep payment around 350 and litlle or no out of pocket. Thanks in advance. Mike
I very much like the Altima sedan 3.5 CVT with the tech package. I'm not very good at negotioation. Can I get a lease payment around $350? I'd like 12K miles and 36 or 39 months, minimum down (can I use the rebate as a down payment?) Thanks - I'm happy to see that so many folks are willing to share their experiences. What a great way to get informed.
