2007 Sentra 2.0 S CV Transmission Magnetic Grey/ Charcoal Steel Convenience Pkg, Splash Guards, Body Color Molding, Floor Mats w/ Trunk Divider, Tinted Windows. Negotiated Price $15,000 Includes Rebates ($1,000) Sales Tax 7.75% $1,270.96 Dealer Fee $399 State Title $28.25 Final Total Price: $16,698.21 Desert Nissan Las Vegas, NV Original negotiated price after $500 cash back rebate was $15,500. I was going to pay in full, but was offered another $500 rebate to finance a minimum of $5000 through NMAC. New purchase price before tax, title, and dealer fee was $15,000. I financed the $5,000 for a term of 36 months at 1.90% and paid the balance. Details: Best treatment ever, from first internet contact to driving away from dealership. My wife loves this car and she drove all other vehicles in its class. Words cannot express how awesome the bluetooth enabled phone and the keyless entry/ignition features are. I believe the dealer was motivated as we are in the last half of Aug. and the 2008 model is due out in 30 days.
Re: Nissan Pathfinder: Lease Questions [Car_man]

Yesterday we looked at a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder LE with everything in it but the navigation system. The list price on the lot was $41,340, the list price on their website is $38,345. The salesman we spoke to told us lease payments would be somewhere around $800 a month and that seems very high to me, not much different than buying. This will be the first vehicle we have leased so arent sure what to expect with it. What type of payment should we be looking for? We are in the Reno, NV area if that helps any. I was also wondering if anyone knew when the 2007 would be out? Thanks, Jill

Run - don't walk - away from this dealer, he is a crook. First off: $468 for oil changes? You'll have the car for 36K miles. At 3750 miles intervals that is 9 oil changes. 468/9 is $52 an oil change!! YIKES!! Second: When you lease, sales tax of $1000.87 is irrelevant. You only pay sales tax on your lease payments, not on the full price of the car. Sounds like the dealer added the sales tax of the whole price into your lease calculation = RIP OFF, RIP OFF, RIP OFF!!!! Third: $299 Processing fee? HUH? That is a junk fee that you should never pay. Again RIP OFF artist. Plugging in the numbers your money factor is about .0052 which translated into a 13% interest rate. Like I said, run, don't walk away from this dealer. Third:

(1) I was car shopping today. Didn't want a 5 spd. But, if you are willing to travel to Las Vegas, at the dealership in Henderson, NV (about ten miles from Vegas) 100% of their 2.5 engines were 5 speed.

That's not bad. I would take it. The residual looked really good. The money factor I calculated to be .0029 and that is a little high. .0025 seems reasonable. But since your residual is pretty high, overall your deal looks good.

What a rip-off!!! Was the dealer wearing a blask mask and said " this is a stick up" ?? I almost fell off my chair when I saw that one.
