Re: 2012 altima for $16,058? [ghostrider10] by skins2357 on Fri Feb 03 08:08:28 PST 2012

Dealer is Herb Gordon in Silver Spring MD. It is a 2.5 with minimal options, but I figure I can buy a nice sound system at Best Buy, the rest of the necessities on the car are there for me (power windows, Power Locks, AC). It does not have the options of a 2.5S, but to be honest alot of those option are not worth it to me

Re: Is this a good deal? [friday3pm] by sbs9 on Mon Jan 23 20:34:46 PST 2012

Depends on where you are and what your tax rate is. I'm shopping for basically the same Altima SL (MSRP 28k +/-) and here in Pittsburgh the best price I've gotten is $25.6k before incentives and tax, which makes your deal look good. A couple hours down the road in MD I can get it for $23.4k before incentives and tax, which makes your deal look not so good. Shop around.

Re: Murano Pricing [zman_tx] by warpedmind on Mon Jan 09 12:49:24 PST 2012

thats awesome...i saw an 11 LE advertised around here (MD) for 34K...too bad its a few k out of my budget. Though I do have an offer for 31K (All fees/tax/tag included) for an 11 SV. I am thinking about pulling the trigger on that. The SV comes with the cargo cover, carpet mats, splash guards and crossbar. Sticker is 35K (before freight). What do everyone think? Good deal/bad deal? I will be using regular financing, so i will take the 3K rebate. Thx for the help.

Re: 2012 Altima S Anniv [gooddeal2] by milol on Thu Dec 29 09:28:16 PST 2011

I was actually searching online to see if I got a good deal on our car and came upon this thread. We thought we overpaid because in 2004 we bought our 04 Altima S Base from the same dealership for ~$15,000 OTD. However, it seems like this was a good deal so here's the details: The dealership is Darcars Nissan. Two locations: Rockville,MD and College Park,MD. If you go on Cars.com and search for new altima in zip code 20814 and filter from lowest to highest, it will come up under "Darcars College Park $16,100". Did 0 negotiating as they wanted the business (Badly it seemed). Here's what I did: Called up Darcars Rockville and told them I saw 2012 Altima S Base for $16,100 on Cars.com for Darcars College Park. Wondered if they would match if I go there instead. Was told yes and to come in. Went in, test drove, looked at a few colors, and was immediately told I would be given the advertised price. Tried to haggle even lower and was told they would not move a penny. Asked to negotiate the Anniv Edition we saw because we liked the color better (slate); was informed by manager that Anniv edition would be $750 more. Figured the alloy wheels itself was worth that much so we took the deal. When paperwork came, it was listed as $19,000ish retail - $3,000ish in rebates(don't have paperwork in front of me). Please note I qualified for $500 recent college grad discount (must graduate within last 2 years). However, for another car we bought I was 6 months away from graduating and they just took my word for it. Hope this helps. Good hunting all.

2012 Maxima S Lowest Price by cancun1 on Sun Dec 25 18:08:04 PST 2011

I live in Reading PA and I am willing to drive up to 100 miles (this would include NY, MD, NJ and VA). I am looking for the lowest price on Maxim S with carpets, splash guard and trunk mat. MSRP about 33,000. Has anyone bought such a car and for how much. Thanks
