Rogue vs. XTerra
by lrichards on Thu Mar 20 14:44:35 PDT 2008
I currently have an 05 XTerra. I like the XTerra but would like better mileage. I'm interested in the Rogue, but I have a few concerns. Is there a big difference in cargo space? I need room in the back for 2 sets of golf clubs and push carts. I also want to be able to put my kayak on top and bike on back. I live in Maine so it needs to be good in the snow. I don't do much off road driving other than my dirt driveway and towing is not an issue for me. I like the looks of the Rogue and I'd love to have the sunroof and premium stereo like I had in my old Pathfinder. I'd love to hear from people who have driven both the XTerra and Rogue or have similar driving and space issues.
Re: 2007 SL AWD lease question [dwb959]

Hi dwb959 & EBM525: I am in Freehold NJ trying to help my sister lease a 2007. The dealer here is offering this deal; MSRP: $36,900 SELLING PRICE: 33,558.11 MILES PER YEAR: 12,000 TERM: 39 M0NTHS DOWN PAYMENT: $4,500 (THAT SEEMS OUTRAGEOUS TO ME) RESIDUAL: $18,081 MONEY FACTOR: .000330 Now, to the cost they are adding: INCEPTION FEES: $1968.09 ASSIGNMENT FEE: $595 DOWN PAYMENT TAX: $198.35 PAY-OFF OF TRADES FEE: $895 (MY SISTER DOESN'T ***HAVE*** A TRADE-IN!!!) After all this nonsense they are stating the total Cap Cost as$32,214.55 MONTHLY PAYMENT $379 Now, just on the surface of it, it seems that my sister is getting the same deal as you guys are, but she is paying $2000 more for it. Also, what is an :Assignmet Fee" and what is included in these "Inception Costs" and does $1968.09 seem reasonable? Where are you guys located? We are in NJ and I need to find her a no-nonsense dealer who will give her a good price. Please help. Thanks, David

Carman & EBM525, I also recently got a similar deal on a 2007SL AWD Murano with a MSRP of 38700 12k miles on 39months. Payment that I was quoted was 2500 out of pocket and 389 per month. DOES THIS SEEM LIKE A GOOD DEAL? DEALER SUPPOSE TO CALL ME BACK TONIGHT? Thanks. DB

I would be willing to pay the security deposit if it would reduce the money factor. Thanks
just placed order for my Versa

Hi, all-- My 1st post on this. And I don't want this to sound like I'm gloating, but: I'm fortunate to work for a company that is a supplier to Nissan. We, in turn, participate in the Nissan Vehicle Purchase Program, which allows me to purchase my Fresh Powder (white) Versa SL CVT w/Conv Pkg., Sunroof Pkg., Audio Pkg., Sirius satellite radio and floor mats for 2.87% UNDER dealer's invoice. MSRP (incl. dest.) is $18105; dealer invoice is $17218. My purchase price is $16724. Being told it will arrive supposedly within about 2-3 months, which is fine with me, as I'm not in any rush. I had considered Scion xA, Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, Hyundai Accent SE and Volkswagen Rabbit. Being lucky enough to be able to use the Nissan VPP clinched the deal for me.
New England price comps?

I'm preparing to buy a 2006 Nissan Murano SL (Brilliant Silver) with Leather Package & Sunroof. If you've bought a Murano in the last 3 months in MA, NH, ME or RI, how much did you pay in relation to invoice? If possible, please specify which configuration you bought, and which dealership you bought from. Thanks in advance for your help!
