Altima 3.5SL Lease
by hwill1 on Mon Apr 21 16:29:04 PDT 2008
First, I want to say 'thanks' to all for sharing information here. I had never leased a vehicle and learned much here and at LeaseGuide.com. It greatly helped me understand the process and hopefully make a good deal. I negotiated & signed the following lease at Lake Manawa Nissan in Council Bluffs, IA (just across from west Omaha, NE where I live). 36 mo. / 12K mi lease on Altima 3.5 SL MSRP = $29,315 total [$28,380 + $135 (spl gds) + $175 (flr mats) + $625 (dest.) ] MF = 0.00122 and 59% Residual = $17,295.85 Adj Cap Cost = $27,666 which included: ($595 Acq Fee + $17 Title & Tire Fee) This got me into a monthly payment of $342.91 w/o taxes. At 5.5% tax where I live in NE, put me at $361.77 total monthly. My drive off was $361.77. They waived the security deposit ($350) due to good credit. They had a $179 doc fee but after negotiation, seems they waived that and then some (like $105 to get to the adj cap cost I wanted) so I could drive off at $342/mo. Plus, they found the color I wanted in KC and are swapping with a dlr there at no additional cost. Feel OK about it as it seems like just under invoice. Thx again CarMan and others.
Dynamic Vehicle Control Pkg.
by pvsurfer on Mon Nov 27 09:48:40 PST 2006
I've been looking for, but unable to find, a 2007 SL with the Dynamic Vehicle Control package. Seems to me that DVC ia one of the most important options offered, and frankly I can't understand why it's not standard equipment. After all, a similar stability package is standard equipment on Honda and Toyota SUVs!
Buying a Titan
by iowabigguy on Sat Dec 25 14:50:25 PST 2004
I have been looking at buying a new truck. I currently have a Ram 1500 Quad cab but given all the buzz about the Titan I thought I'd consider it as well in my looking. I don't like a truck with a lot of electronic extras and was looking for a basic and safe truck. I guess I don't understand Nissan's packaging of requires options.   If I want a limited slip differential why can't I order it in a 4 wheel drive truck. Why do I need $10,000 in options to order side air bags, I thought that was a safety item that would not need to be packaged with all the other electronic crap. It sure doesn't look like the Titan can be configured the way you want it! Only the way to maximize profits. Even Toyota can be ordered with stand alone side air bags. Well to Titans credit they are at least available, They don't seem to be available on Ford or Chevy Quad Cabs, guess safety does not sell. Rick

We just bought the same car this week(ours also had the $70 Protection Pkg). You're right, the ABS/Side Air Bag pkg is difficult to find - and even tougher if you also want the Convenience Pkg along with it. There were only 3 in the tri-state area(MN,WI,IA). Still haven't figured out why ABS is not standard on a car is this price range. Anyway, here's our numbers:   2005 Altima 2.5S Auto Convenience Pkg ABS/Side Air Bag Pkg Protection Pkg Splash Guards Floor Mats MSRP: $22,980 Edmunds Invoice: $21,304 Paid: $21,104 - $1500 rebate = $19604 + $90(fees & title)   I'm not sure how they are selling below invoice. Maybe there's some mfg-to-dealer cash that's behind the scenes. Or perhaps they're just cutting into their dealer holdback. Nonetheless, I feel we got a pretty good deal. I got all my price quotes through email - seemed to work pretty well. If you are getting quotes in the low 19's with the rebate, I'd say you are doing pretty well.   Good luck!
better resale value (noel55)

Enjoy your new truck. I think when gas reaches $3.00 a gallon resale value will suck on any of these big trucks...................
