Z Roadster Grand Touring, Solar Orange
by zmachine157 on Mon Oct 29 19:45:05 PDT 2007
Ok...so, my wife is about to turn 50. She says her Lexus ES330 is an old ladies car...she isn't getting another car like it again. She really wants a convertible. She also can't wait for the lease to expire...which is in 5 months. So..me being a great husband, I listen to her and think...this girl has always sacrificed for the rest of us I need to get her what she wants...and deserves. So, I start looking around. I drop by the Nissan dealer and I see this solar orange Z roadster...that just happens to be an automatic. Wow...it's awesome and perfect for my wife. So, I drag her out to the dealer the next day and she drives it. Before she gets out of the parking lot she's crying. She said "Oh my God, this care is awesome...it's what I've always wanted!" She was very emotional. I looked over at her and all I could think of was...how can I get her this car? So...I'm working a deal with the dealer but he isn't budging much. I guess I know why...the solar orange is rare...probably rarer with an automatic. I've only gotten him to come down a couple grand...what should I do, wait him out? It's almost winter here in Indianapolis. What is a fair price to pay? It is a roadster grand touring automatic, solar orange. I'd probably get it if they would just come down a couple grand more.
Altima Quote

Hello all. I'm new to this board, and am looking for advice. I've been receiving quotes for: 2009 Altima 2.5S (CVT) w/ conv. plus package, floor mats, and splash guards So far, the best OTD price I've received is $24,035.00 (includes 7% sales tax). What do you think? I'm in Indianapolis, IN, thanks.
Confused about pricing in Indianapolis
by rannede on Sun Jul 01 15:00:19 PDT 2007
My wife and I are going to buy a 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe with Manual Transmission, Convenience Package, Moonroof w/deflector and Aluminum Kick Plate. We've done some research and found that the MSRP in our area (Indianapolis, IN) is approx. $23600.00. We already have a price in mind that we're willing to pay. The confusion we have is in the differences between MSRP, Invoice, etc... I'm aware it's impossible for an exact price but what I'd like is a realistic estimate of what price we'll be able to get the dealership down to from $23600.00 minus taxes & title. Thanks in advance for any replies.
Murano Lease Deal
by pacerfan_11 on Tue Nov 14 15:00:19 PST 2006
ronaldc, This appears to be a very good deal. Where are you located? I was quoted $368 per month for a 39 month lease with 15,000 miles per year and $900 due at signing. Our quote was on a 2006 Murano S FWD with an MSRP of $27,450 in Indianapolis, IN. Compared to other vehicles, the lease we were quoted doesn't seem to be very competitive. However, I know I would move forward with the Murano lease if I was offered the same deal you posted.

I don't mean to hijack the original thread (fight the Odyssey man!)... I did it through internet and over the phone. I am in Indianapolis. There was a $500 rebate for purchase, or a lease special. I went with a lease. I believe the purchase price of the car in the advertised lease special was around $30.2, if I backed into it right ($30,213 - $1800 down + 550 acquisition fee = $28,963 advertised cap cost). I think the money factor was about a 1.5-2.0% annual rate. But, the $30.1 was the quote I was given before I decided to lease, and they used that price for my lease as well. I don't know what Nissan was kicking back to the dealers for this, but I was happy with the deal. I think both incentives expired 1/31. This is the second car that I have purchased using the internet and the phone. The first one I was able to get at $100 over invoice. I think a lot of dealers will give you a price close to invoice for internet deals.

Long response, but hopefully it will help you avoid having to drive a mini-van. I haven't had our Pathfinder for very long, but I will tell you that the mileage argument won't work. We are getting about the same range as the Odyssey. However I think the others arguments might work. There is plenty of room for our family of 3 plus two basset hounds. We can fit our bags and the dogs in the back with the third row down for a weekend trip. Third row seats are pretty tight for adults, but kids would be fine. For value, I haven't seriously priced an Odyssey. But we were able to get our 06 Pathfinder SE 4x4 with Comfort Package, Premium Package, Splash Guards, Side body molding, and mats for $30,100 before manufacturer's discounts and taxes. I did it all through email and phone calls. It was the easiest purchase I have ever made. Most Nissan dealers will work with you on price. I don't have personal experience with Honda, but I've heard they don't move very much on price, especially with hot items like the Odyssey. My Pathfinder basically has everything except leather, nav system, and dvd. It has tons of storage spaces, cup holders for both back rows, rear air vents for both back rows, towing hitch. The Bose stereo rocks, even with the Wiggles playing. It has plenty of power. It drives kind of trucky, but it feels solid. I don't know what curves the experts were taking it on when they mention body roll. I don't notice much for how high up you sit. I think it is a nice, solid looking SUV too, and I don't see very many on the road. I see tons of Odyssey's though. Hope this helps.
