2012 Altima 2.5 S by ohlode on Sun Jan 08 14:38:38 PST 2012

Bought yesterday. Slate exterior; frost interior. MSRP was $22,570.00, plus splash guards, floor & trunk mats and destination charge ($760. to Boise, ID) for a total window sticker retail price of $23,650.00. The dealer's no hassle, no haggle price was $17999.00. (not including Tax, Title, Tags.) I added their similiar after market alloys and Nissan all weather mats for another $600.00, plus tax. I actually liked the look of the after market alloys (Vision Wheel) better than OEM alloys. After comparing the Camry, Sonata, Optima, and the Accord this vehicle won hands down in overall value. The Altima is my second Nissan (2008 Pathfinder) and I highly recommend this manufacturer and Dennis Dillion Nissan on Fairview in Boise. **note: Nissan's $750 rebate was contingent on Nissan financing (3.29 % APR for 60 months) That was .04 % higher than my Credit union rate. Summation: Couldn't get the other 4 dealers below $21K for a comparably equipped vehicle. Toyota dealer was even higher and the other Nissan dealer wouldn't match this price. Hope this is helpful!

How to get out from lease.. by meinnocentha on Fri Sep 30 11:35:27 PDT 2011

I have a 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5SL with some Nismo factory upgrades (fully loaded altima minus navi). I love my car, but family needs has forced me to find a bigger vehicle. Im not a fan of any of nissans SUVs or the Quest. Im looking at the Sienna... How do i go about getting out from the Altima? Im only 12 months into the lease on a 39 month lease. I would owe 11,200 in payments or 24K payoff (according to the nissan financial site). ive looked at trading it in, id obviously be upside down with the car only being worth about 17-19K. Whats the best way to negotiate a trade in? Is selling it back to Nissan an option? Can a Nissan dealer buying it for my remaining payments plus termination fees? (i know they could buy it and flip it for a huge profit)

July 2011 Altima Hybrid prices by apexspeed on Sun Jul 24 11:21:29 PDT 2011

I'm trying to get quotes from dealers on a 2011 Nissan Altima Hybrid with Convenience and Premium packages. I think it is rare for the dealerships to receive them with just those two packages and not also the Technology (nav) package, because I did inventory searches of 12 dealerships in the New York/CT, and I had a hard time finding a car optioned the way I'd like. So far, I have no quotes on the exact car I'm looking for, but I do have a few data points. I've had one dealership offer $7600 total (including a $4000 rebate from Nissan) off of a no-options Hybrid ($27,560 MSRP) putting it just under $20k before TTL. Another offered $8200 off of MSRP (again including the rebate) on a Hybrid with all three packages ($34,990 MSRP). Makes sense - the more options, the more margin they have. Can anyone give me a few more data points on recent Altima Hybrid prices? Is more than $8200 off possible? Thanks in advance! Also, regarding the tax credit, it is very clear that no vehicles purchased by individuals after 12/31/2010 are eligible for a tax credit.: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/tax_hybrid.shtml However, I think there may still be a tax credit available to business purchasers, leading to the confusion. I could be wrong about that, though, since this kind of information is very ambiguous: http://www.irs.gov/businesses/article/0,,id=223736,00.html

Re: 2011 Nissan Altima 2.5S (Conv+Conv Plus+Spl Guards+Flr Mats+Al Kick Plts) [maxie_maverick] by jortz on Thu Mar 17 11:24:46 PDT 2011

hi everyone. i am trying to negotiate with a dealer in central jersey for a 2010 altima with conv/conv+/sl package and premium audio. we started at 26,500k (otd) for a 2011 with those options in black. i got him down to 26,200 after a few calls/emails. after realizing id rather have ocean gray, 2011, i asked for his inventory and he only has 2010s left with those options/color. NOW, i want a really good deal on the 2010. this is my first new car purchase and id be happy with a 2010. he offered 25,500. i think i can get better (25,000 or lower otd) but he's the only one who has the car i want right now. so he has some leverage. any advice would be appreciated. do you think 25k out the door with those options is a descent price????? thank you!! john

2010 Super Black 2.5 SL w/Bose premium audio pkg, aluminum kick plates by jyang16 on Fri Jun 11 12:54:36 PDT 2010

MSRP: $28,300 Invoice: $22,199 Total OTD w/ 6yr/75 warranty and 0.9% for 60month financing+TTL: $25,300 phenomenal deal and very happy about it. This is with 8% chicago tax. Took 4 hrs at the dealership from 6-11pm but oh so worth it. My tips is to bring an actual printed quote from internet sales specialists with all the nearby dealerships and then find the dealership that has the most inventory and work the deal there. TRUECAR is pretty spot on, id say if you do your work you can get under the lowest price by about $500. I got under that # due to a mistake made on a quote from competing dealership and my dealership saying they have to beat any quote by atleast $100.
