I talked to the Nissan Manager at Fitzgerald in Chambersburg PA, where I got my Murano for $300 over invoice. He said they have a 150% price guarantee and now all their new Muranos are $100 below invoice! This isn't just an internet special, this is on walk-ins or phone calls. $100 under invoice, add tax and tags and you're on the road! A one price store, very easy to do business with. The only place right now selling the Murano for UNDER invoice.
Did I mess this up? 2007 Nissan Sentra 2.0
by tinksd19 on Fri Jul 20 19:45:48 PDT 2007
Before I bought my car I lined up financing with my credit union and did research online. I came out the door paying $80 dollars over my goal, but now, I can't help but feel I did it wrong. I was trying so hard to do it right and by myself and not have to tote along some guy for back-up. Anyway, these are the numbers from my Buyers Order. The car I got was a 2007 Sentra 2.0 CVT, gray with charcoal int, power windows and door locks, and floor mats. I traded in a 1995 VW Cabrio in Fair to crap condition. The passenger mirror was busted up, the top had a seam that came apart, the car leaked, the upholstery in the drivers seat was disentigrating (foam was coming out), oil leaked, it had been in two wrecks (not my fault), and the car darn near felt like it was going to vibrate itself to death when it ran. Total Price of Unit: 15290.93 (this included the 625 destination) Trade: 1850 Fees: 489 Sales Tax at 6%: 835.80 Title Fee: 19 Georgia Warranty Act: 3 Rebate: 500 Balance Due: 14287.73 I have stole the print out of the vehicle detail sheet. The MSRP is listed as 16340 and Invoice is listed as 15672. Live near Atlanta,GA. They tried to get me to finance through Nissan, but the manager somehow messed it up and told me I could have something I couldn't and they tried to up it $500. He looked pretty pissed when the finance guy told him that I couldn't have it. He ended up just letting me bring the check from the credit union. So I atleast know they are loosing money because they don't get the back end money from the finance company. So, did I screw this up, get a good deal, or just come out ok? What should I do differently if I ever go through car buying again. I have a ton of things in mind, but would like other suggestions.

I got an LE with all the options for : Delivered Internet Price: $36,928 Factory Invoice: $36,628 Delivered Value Price: $37,297 MSRP: $39,920 I paid $300 over invoice, no haggle. I did not get their service program which is the "value price" because I live in Georgia and they are in PA. Was definately worth the airfare and the ride home was great! They are a small dealership in central PA. Check them out! Fitzgerald Nissan in Chambersburg, PA.

WOW! Some angry salesman just went off on a post from 2004! I think he needs to go somewhere that they pay more than $100 per car. :confuse:

Fitzgeralds $300 over invoice price beats the lower level VPP pricing. I hate to sound like a Fitxgerald billboard but I was just blown away by their professionalism, their ability to go get what I wanted, and of course their no haggle price. They even offered to ship one from Chambersburg to their Clearwater, FL store for me to save me a drive but the shipping I checked into was incredible so I just flew in and saved some extra cash.
re: FITZGERALD SL

I just went to fitzmall website as well and did see the SL priced at MSRP, so I called my salesman and he assured me that the vehicle was just stocked in yesterday and the $300 over price would be applied tomorrow. He said there is always a 2 day lay over on the internet until the fitzgerald pricing gets plugged in. I was confused as well but apparently you'll see the SL at $300 over invoice tomorrow. He said there is nothing new on their lot more than $300 over invoice, and if someone came in to buy the SL before the internet pricing is done.... the $300 over invoice is what they pay.
