Fitzgeralds $300 over invoice price beats the lower level VPP pricing. I hate to sound like a Fitxgerald billboard but I was just blown away by their professionalism, their ability to go get what I wanted, and of course their no haggle price. They even offered to ship one from Chambersburg to their Clearwater, FL store for me to save me a drive but the shipping I checked into was incredible so I just flew in and saved some extra cash.

Hi dealseeker8. The Murano that you are interested in probably has a spread of around $3,000 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price. For the purpose of estimating this vehicle's lease payment I will assume that you will be able to negotiate a $2,000 discount. Let me know if you are able to get a better price than that. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2007 Nissan Murano SL 2WD that has an MSRP of $34,475 and a selling price of $32,475 through NMAC right now for 39 months with 12,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment would be around $403. The rules for how sales tax is calculated on leased vehicles vary from state to state. I am not personally familiar with how sales tax is calculated on leases in your area, but you may be able to find out by visiting one of the following sites: Florida Department of Motor Vehicles or Florida Department of Revenue. About 100 over invoice will be a good price. Enter your trim, pkgs and options in edmunds.com till you get that MSRP and then you will get the invoice. The tax on a lease is calculated after you got the base monthly payment without tax. Strictly speaking the answer is NO, you don't pay the full tax.

What should I expect for a 07 Murano SL 2WD with leather and DVD - MSRP of 34475. Have not received purchase price yet but would like to lease 39-42 month 12K mile. What should I call a deal? Should I expect to pay the full tax on a new car to the dealer? I am seeing this in quotes.

Hello Moxie, Not sure where to start. 1st, Clearwater is a local phone call, but I will ask them to beat any price I find. 2nd, you may want to hang with (Guru) Thumper because it seems he's had the most success at buying an X at a reasonable price. And 3rd, don't all dealers buy cars at the same price? Having said that, I LIKE the idea of buying an X, or 3, from a single dealer and would fully expect to get a better price than buying one."> I am going to bid $21.5K O-T-D for the one I previously posted, toward the end of the month (as per Guru Thumper). He got $22K with a $500 factory incentive and now it is $1000. Maybe the incentive improves. Maybe multiple sales would be an incentive. Them saying 'NO' won't hurt my feelings. What color ya' want? :P tampa

We just bought an '04 LE loaded without the DVD for $41600 out the door in Clearwater FL. at Lokey Nissan. It was the end of May and they were pushing to get rid of the residual '04 stock. The MSRP was $46500.They gave us $3500 off and we added a little cash down to make up some negative equity in our trade, a '02 Expedition. Initially, they were handling the financing and quoted me 10.32% for 84 months. I had just ran my Beacon and found it over 700. The dealer explained that auto financing is figured differently than what the consumer sees. That is because of dealer reserve. They set financing up at 5%, tell the buyer their score is in a lower tier so the 10% plus and they pocket the 5% difference. Get approval from a bank, credit union, E-Loan, somewhere else and you'll have better buying power. I got my own financing after the deal at 5.75%, $604/month rather than $750 from Nissan. Also, with your own financing, you may be able to get a loaded unit for far less than dealer invoice. Edmunds.com can help you find the right starting point to go up from without paying thru the nose. Enjoy!!! :D
