Buying a car from a Nissan Car Dealer
Sorry for the late reply. We used the car buying services provided through zag.com (it is a Truecar Co) so if you belong to USAA, Amex, BofA, and others (just pick one), you can use it to find their lowest prices based on options and your location. We compared the car pricing through other websites and theirs was the best and were able to use the Nissan cash on top of the awesome pricing. The dealership honored their pricing and was even a $100 lower than what was quoted on the website. Good luck in your car buying adventure. We were able to find the car and got everything done the same day.
I am new this country and hence I dont have any credit hisory. I bought a Nissan Altima 2.5S 2012 putting 50% as down payment and my relative who had 751 FICO score co-signed for me. The dealer made my relative as the main buyer and I as the co-buyer. He charged an extra 500 dollars stating that I belong to Tier 4 and and my relative belong to Tier 1 otherwise my interest rate for the finance would shoot up. So is this additional fee actually charged or was I fooled??? Somebody please advise me. Thanks in advance.
Hi Crx blade, I got mine from NY dealer SV+ Premium + Tech + Spoiler (No other accessories) $425 Per Month (Including NY tax) $595 Bank Fee $0 Down Total $1350 out of pocket (First Month + Bank Fees + DMV Fees) - $425 Per month 12K Miles 39 Months lease. The deal was $399, but when I sat with the Nissan Finance guy he changed the numbers as Nissan Finance didnt approve my credit because I am new in this country (Only 3 Years) and thats why they increased the payment to $425 after I brough a Co-Signer. he told me that I finally qualified as Tier 1 and the deal is for Tier 0 !!!! (Its a game they make I guess as they keep your interview with NMAC representative at the end). Buttom line, NMAC finance guy does not talk the same language as the sales people there. I believe your deal is the best you can get for the Maxima, but make sure that they check your credit and confirm that you qualify for that deal. The best thing is to talk to the Nissan Finance guy upfront to make sure that no conflicts happen while signing the papers with him later on. Hope that helps Regards,
I am going to be a possible co-signer on my fiance's lease of a Rogue. I qualify for top-tier, but she probably does not since she hasn't established much credit yet. Since I qualify for top-tier, would she be able to get the lease through NMAC under these terms since I am co-signing?
Thanks for mentioning the dealers. I wish more posters would do so...
