Re: Lease Offer for LE Nissan Murano [md_outback]

MD, Ahh yes I remember Fitzmall when I found my first Murano three years ago. I live in the San Francisco bay area and even considered driving or having the car shipped since the deals are so good there. I thought with the abundance of dealerships in this area, that the dealers here would be willing to haggle, but I didn't have much luck last time. I'll try over the weekend to shoot off a couple of e-mails to the dealers. I"ll see what happens. Thanks!
Versa S buying experience -- Vallejo Nissan, CA
by bpechlaner on Tue Aug 29 23:16:31 PDT 2006
Just came home with a brand new Versa (onyx blue w/tan)from Vallejo Nissan in the San Francisco Bay Area. They had a special on 2 Versa's this weekend for $12,995 -- yes, that's with the floor mats AND the power package -- a great, great price and much better than the other quotes I received. So I called them and they had the color I wanted so I drove there on Monday to get it...but was turned away by the floor manager because the onyx blue one was not part of the ad. Mistakes can happen...but of course I was quite disappointed that I had been misinformed and wrote an email to the dealership explaining my experience. Didn't really expect a response -- but my wife got a call and I got an email back this afternoon from the owner / general manager (who was not in the store when I was there for my futile purchase attempt) telling us that they "...have built their dealership on customer satisfaction and this was a huge breakdown in their efforts..." and that he would honor the price! Drove back up there tonight and got to pick up the car with a full tank of gas and the first 2 services for free! I have to say that I have never been so impressed with a car dealership before even when I thought that I had gotten a good deal. Outstanding price, outstanding service and absolutely no pressure. Great job! Bernie Love my Versa, BTW! :)

FYI: I just bought a used '05 Murano SL AWD, 14.5K miles, it's a pretty basic model- no leather, no moonroof, no navi, no backup cam,no roofrack, no kidding- for $25,250 USD. It's just a FYI for use in comparison shopping.

Hi guys, I live in northern California, Eastbay area. The current best price I have on an Altima 5-speed 2.5 S is an internet price quote of 17128 ($250 below invoice, minus $1000 rebate, but including destination charge). I selected no options. A fellow posted an 18,8 drive out price for a 2.5s with convenience package... if his tax rate is anywhere close to CA 8.25%, then he's getting a much much better deal than I am. Anyone have any tips on getting a great price on the 2.5s base or with abs, in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay, South Bay, etc)?
Nitely- R U Serious?

Nitely- $800 under invoice is what I bought my new 2004 AWD Polished Pewter SE, but I drove it home 2 hours after finalizing the price via email. What area of the country do you live in? Did you use Nissan's online inventory search to see if the vehicle you want is anywhere in the area? I found my vehicle (actually my wife's vehicle) online, wrote down the VIN number, and negotiated the price with the dealer that had the vehicle. A 12 week wait seems like an awfully long time to wait for a vehicle that, at least in the San Francisco Bay Area, seems relatively plentiful in all flavors. I hope you were just having some fun with us. Nobody should have to patiently wait 12 weeks for their new baby to arrive.
$800 below invoice possible

Marvind- If you go to message #286 you can see that I was able to buy an SE AWD for $800 below invoice. You didn't mention what area you are in. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and purchased mine the day after Christmas. All of the pricing was negotiated using email after I located the vehicle I wanted using Nissan's inventory search feature. I provided the VIN number of the vehicle on the dealers lot and was given a price of $800 below invoice. The only other fees were taxes and license. The state of California adds in a $5 tire disposal fee, and there was a DMV documentation fee, but other than that the price was exactly as promised. Go back and search the Nissan inventory in your area using the Nissan web site, and then identify the internet sales manager for the dealership(s) to see if you can get a lower price. Depending on the area I'll bet you can. You can use the additional money you save to buy an extended warranty. I used Google to locate the dealership's web site and contacts. Please share what happens and what area of the country you are shopping in. Your profile says you are in the USA which doesn't pin it down to much.
