trading in 2005 nissan maxima, SE, with leather + most option (good condition - 81K) miles. They are giving me $9K credit (with $4k cashback), and a 39 month (15k/year) term, with monthly payment of $220/month + 2 years free oil changes. car would be altima with leather, bose, power seats, xm, blue tooth, etc. does this sound like a good deal? Phoenix, AZ - and their 'special' ends 3/31...

I have never heard of a lease that charges you if you do not purchase the car, are you sure its not a pently for early termination ? Also if you are going to be UNDER miles by 15K, then you have a car that is worth more then the resutal I would check to see what the Kelly BLue Book is, you well be able to use the 04 as a trade in and not have anything out of pocket..

We purchased from Earnhardt Nissan in Mesa, AZ. I ended up using their financing only because they matched the best rate I could get through the internet. They gave me 6.19% for 72 months (we plan on keeping this for the long haul). Traded a 2004 VW Jetta that they gave us blue book for, which was equal to the payoff. We did not put any money down. It took some negotiating on our part but I was happy in the end.

(Funny thing was on my way there, a different sales rep from another dealer called to say his best offer was $23,458 for an XE with preferred pkg. I told him about the $23k offer for an SE and he laughed and said they would do a switch when I got there.) Both the first sales rep and his manager showed on their computer how the vehicle was still available but they could not find it on the lot. Well long story short, they asked if we could find another vehicle. Sure it took me an extra hour to locate a similarly optioned vehicle. There was one in Smoke but since i'm down here in the valley of the sun, I figured i'd go with a lighter color and opted for the silver with additional options of bed extender, underseat storage. We never even discussed the tint and clearcoat paint protection until AFTER the vehicle had been detailed for drive off. We settled for $23,200.00 which still seemed a pretty good deal.
