i too had to choose between the accord coupe and the altima coupe. in my family we have an 06 altima and and 08 sentra so at first i was kind of inclined to get the altima. Then i saw the accord coupe and at least to me it has a better exterior style than the altima. the front of the altima is not all that good looking. only thing i liked about the altima was the push button to start the car. if you look at the car comparison in the nissan web site and compare the accord coupe and altima coupe everything seems to be standard for the altima and not the accord which is wrong . look at the honda web site to compare it is less of a difference but look at the different trims and its standard features and you can check on that. i live in houston and i have seen many more altima coupes than accord coupes. and again the accord does NOT fall short in options. i think the accord actually has a bit more features. Also build quality is much better on the accord. the body in the accord surprised me because it is so strong compared to our altima and sentra. if you are talking about options any dealership is willing to add whatever you want on the car but again that is not standard. also to keep the warranty valid you have to do oil changes every 3,000 miles i can go double that and do it when it need to be done not just because nissan wants you to. trust me interior material is much more durable and stronger in the accord. all that fancy stuff you talk about you paid for it it wasn't standard . not to mention that honda is one of the most reliable makes in the business. but dont get me wrong nissan is good to so far i have had no issues with the 2 nissans we own. after a lot of thinking i got me the accord coupe and do not regret it a bit. most reviews will have the accord coupe over the altima just do a search on this and you may be able to get more details of why they think its better. i know its you business "stephonyk" but why would you get a lease for 39 months your car warranty is for 36 months. that is why its better to lease for 36 months to not have to buy any warranty like you did its only like 200 for the whole term but still. also you should always aim at not putting anything down or at least not as much as you did $3000 that is way too much. i was told by someone that if you lease a car and crash the very next day you lose that money you put down but if you buy you can al least get most of it back when you file your claim that is why many websites that deal with leases say it is not good to put lots of money down. if you want to talk about fancy features you could of got you an acura tsx or maybe an infinity for that kind of money with good negotiation. now we own both honda and nissan and i like both a lot but in the case of the coupes the accord coupe would be the better choice. oh yeah the thing i liked about the altima was that it seems to accelerate a bit faster

I bought ours, a base model with floor-mats only, for $1286 below invoice in late July, in the South Bay. We had the clunkers deal also, but we negotiated the price before the program went live on July 24. Our price before the $3250 Nissan rebate was $24495. Note that the Nissan rebate is taxable. You pay the tax on the amount before the Nissan rebate, and then they give you the rebate as a credit. The C4C rebate, however, is subtracted from the sales price before tax is computed, so that is a great deal.

The Nissan incentive seem to be regionalized. I am also from the Boston area and the dealer only gave $500 off the quote for incentive. There is short supply in this region and Nissan is not offering much on these end of year models. I may try to wait for the 2010's but have a clunker so will need to see how fast the money is running out. Does anyone know how the CARS money is being tracked. I cannot afford to miss out on $4500 for my nearly dead Pathfinder.

It's not a $$ thing, it's a safety thing. Did the chevy have a 4cyl.? Does she realize that she won't be able to see out the rear window. I know people on this forum have found ways around these issues (put al seats down, adjust mirrors) but what it REALLY comes down to is...IF YOU CAN'T SEE ALL AROUND SAFELY YOU ARE NOT SAFE!!!! btw, that's not a bad price, but I would have Mom keep looking! I don't feel safe going over 60 in mine!
