'13 RDX Purchase

My wife and I went in on a Wednesday evening to look at the new RDX as a result of reading the edmunds.com review. We were greeted on the way in by the receptionist but then allowed to browse on our own for approximately 15 minutes or so until the receptionist paged Anthony our salesman to come over. He was very professional and answered all of our questions. After looking at the vehicle on the showroom floor he gave us a very low-pressure price quote. The price he offered was very reasonable. We received a letter from the General Manager thanking us for coming in and a phone call from Anthony asking if we had any additional questions. Again, very low-pressure. We came back about a week later on a Friday and spoke to Anthony again. I indicated that we were very interested but would want the bottom line price to include an accessory, the Sport Running Boards. He got the pricing information and gave that to us as well. We closed the deal very quickly and he was able to deliver the vehicle to us later that day - even including the time to install the running boards. The only negative for this dealership was the mandatory visit to the F&I Manager. She was not very professional and showed us a copy of a hand-written sheet showing some sort of grid of options and warranties. It was almost illegible and she did not explain what she was trying to sell us very well. The prices all seemed very high and even though we were actually interested in a warranty we chose not to get one because of her. It is possible that our opinion of her is affected because Anthony was so professional and open about the pricing. He even went out of his way to let us know that one of the other accessories we were considering was not being sold due to a defect. (Which seems to be resolved). At the end of the day we drove home very satisfied with the RDX and Smithtown Acura. I would definitely consider them for my next vehicle.
