I have previously dealt with internet sales staffs at Honda and Mazda; while not perfect they at least were reasonably honest with customers. Prestige's internet sales manager refuses to give quotes over the internet ( I thoght this was a requirement of Edmunds when requested?) When I indicated that I was interested in a specific car, another dealer told me that did not have it in stock and couldn't locate one. Prestige internet manager insisted three times that they had the exact model in stock. When I called an hour before my visit ( I'm 25 minutes away), I was again told the car was available, When I arrived at Prestige, I asked for the internet manager and was briefly introduced and then quickly "shuffled off" to another floor salesman, " who would show me the car". When asked if I wanted to do a test drive, I said sure and took a 15 minute drive with the salesman. After returning, I said all we have to do now is agree on a price, With that the salesman disappeared for about 10 minutes and then came back and told me that " the car had been sold while we were test driving it". This was obviously a bait and switch scam, since the salesman then began to ask if I wanted to look at other models. When I said no, he disappeared again only to return and ask again if I wanted to look at other cars. I immediately said no and left the dealership in a huff, While driving home I received a voicemaill from a sales manager who said he heard from the salesman that I was only interested in a specific car and please call him back "since it's important that I talk to you". I returned his call at 12:38 pm and as I write this review at 6pm in the evening....I still have not heard back from the sales manager at Prestige. I am thoroughly disgusted with the internet sales dept. at Prestige and would not deal with them in the future. I believe that Edmunds should consider removing Prestige from their internet program, since they virtually refuse to give quotes via email like other dealers.
