My wife and I visited Edison Nissan on Tuesday to purchase a 2020 Subaru Crosstrek they listed online. We made it clear we were serious buyers and spend over and hour with David Thomas (sales rep) and Fortunato (Nato) the manager. They ran loan information and brought the price down to a place we could afford. David and I spoke and texted the next day and finally confirmed the price of the vehicle after loan interest was calculated and explained. David sent me a credit authorization form which I filled out and returned immediately, because we agreed to put $3,000 down on the car. We agreed to come retrieve the car Thursday, but when I reached out at 11 am to schedule picking the car up, we were told that the Crosstrek had been sold. David never ran my credit card with an excuse that they don't take deposits. EVERY DEALER takes deposits, that's how buyers hold a car. I tried calling, but went to David's voicemail. My wife called and spoke with Nato who said they have 15 sales people selling, and someone paid outright for the car. We were, ARE furious with the dishonest tactics this dealership used considering we had secured the vehicle (or so we thought). DO NOT do business with this dealership. they bait/switch, mark vehicles up with $4000 unnecessary warrantee plans and do not stand by their word. I have emails and texts to verify my clear communications and have reached out to the sales manager Phil Stoylar via LinkedIn. We'll see if he responds.

I never write reviews but I had such a great experience I really felt the need to. I went in there a few days ago looking for a new car and Abeth Vincent helped me right away. His professionalism and his comprehensive skills were soooo helpful. I went to so many other dealerships and I left because I truly felt like I was being taken advantage of. I came to upgrade my leased Nissan Rogue for a new Rogue and he explored all my options and was very detailed when helping me choose. The usual salesman will tell you what you want to hear. At Edison Nissan they cut through the flowery language and lay it out the way it is. I don't have to filter the sales spiel through skeptic's filter-paper. They don't waste my time. Either we make a deal or we don't. Either way we remain friends. I have been going there for about ten years. It is the only car place that I trust. But don't trust them because I say so. Go there and find out for yourself. Today, in preparation for Mother's Day, the owner of Edison Nissan was standing outside in the rain, greeting customers and handing them expensive bouquets of roses for Mom. He decided that it's the least he can do to make a lousy Mother's Day a little better this year, despite economic collapse and widespread disease. Who else has such a big heart?

The sales guys who work here are the absolute worst, but that makes sense considering how rude and abrupt their management acts. I sat with Kenny, who originally told me to just walk around the lot which boarders RT 1. He waited for me to come back. That didn’t take long considering nothing out there was remotely close to what I asked him to show me. I can handle bad salesmen. My actual problem is that when he took my license to scan, he never gave it back to me. I am at fault for leaving without it, 100%. It’s now been three weeks. After multiple attempts, Kenny and his manager have both told me that it was mailed to me last Monday. There is no reason this should take over 10 days when we are two towns apart. I went down there and the manager was nasty and said it was mailed which it clearly was not. I will make sure nobody that I am affiliated with ever steps a foot in Edison Nissan.

I am a single mom with an 11 year old daughter. Rewind to last November, my Altima got totaled in a hit and run during the night outside my apartment building. i walked into Nissan with horrific credit and 3k begging to get a car to go to work the next day. It was my birthday and i had pneumonia. Stephen made it happen. Forward to this past July, when the great little Juke i bought was hit while parked by a drunk driver with no insurance, i am back at the same dealership with slightly better credit and only my rent money to hand over to get a car to go to work and take my daughter to school the next day. Stephen made it happen. Monday, i call his cell and explain the problem with the car, he told me to get it from the mechanic and bring it in. But when i told Stephen that i spent everything i had replacing the battery he said he would get me in a rental so i could go to work tomorrow.I don't know what i have done to deserve this wonderful man but i am grateful for him. I honestly don't know where i would have been without him to help me. Gods watch over this man, he does good things. I am speechless and i don't know how to repay him for his kindness. I see a lot of baked goods and recommending him to anyone car shopping in my future.

Without going into too much detail, I want to provide a summary of my experience attempting to purchase a used vehicle from Edison Nissan. I am writing this review as a warning to any consumer who is considering doing business with Edison Nissan. They have proven themselves to me that they operate an unethical and borderline criminal car dealership. I don’t say this lightly, but on behalf of the consumer and consumer vulnerability, they need to be exposed for what they do. This is what occurred: The internet price for the vehicle was very attractive and a “GREAT DEAL!”, way below the cost of comparable vehicles. After deciding I wanted to pursue negotiations, I was presented with several hidden costs that made little sense. With that in mind, we still agreed on a bottom line price (including sales tax) that was below other comps, and decided to keep moving forward. Then I was told that the only way I could get this price was to finance through their dealership. I reluctantly agreed, because the price was still low enough to be considered a “GOOD DEAL”, even if I have to do some finance adjusting. After wasting a day of getting a bank check for a down payment and adding the new vehicle to my insurance policy I sat down with the Finance Manager. That is when the entire process spiraled out of control and clear attempts at fraud - with theft in mind, were exposed. The manipulation of numbers was illogical and riddled with lies. It was so bad that when I called him out, the finance manager could no longer look me in the eyes, as he was “cold busted” lying in an attempt to justify additional, previously undisclosed costs. In the end, I was close to $2,000 above the negotiated price. It was now a “BAD DEAL”. It was so bad, that it was laughable at the way they attempted to play me. I halted the deal, demanded my deposit check back, grabbed my other documents, and ran out of there. In my opinion, Edison Nissan is a [non-permissible content removed]! Please beware.
