September incentives Outlander 2009: by mervas on Sat Aug 15 22:42:47 PDT 2009; Is it a good time to buy an 2009 xls 4WD now or should I wait until Sept for the new incentives? I was quoted couple of hundreds under MSRP in NY Long Island, but I think is too much considering resale value...Ofered 300 over invoice price, the dealer didn't even want to hear about it....

Those are last year's models that for all intents and purposes are the same. If you are not concerned about resale value and will keep the Outie for a good number of years there is no reason to deal on an '09. However, you may do as well on an '09. No harm in trying. I have an '09 XLS and love it. Had an '05 Endeavor previously. Live in NY but bought in NJ for the best deal.

Protection Package '09 XLS: by 71alfa on Mon Oct 20 20:12:12 PDT 2008; I just came out of an '05 Endeavor lease w/6 months remaining on a 48 mo lease . No problems in 56,000 miles. Just leased an '09 Outie XLS 6 cyl., AWD (standard equipment) plus protection pkg. Miss the big one but really like the Outlander. Problem that the dealer and Mitsubishi have not addressed or have an answer: The '09 XLS has the extra chrome strip along the bottom of the door, and it looks great. But the mud guards don't fit in the front with that strip attached Not a big deal, but it was part of the pkg. and I'd like to have them. Got the best lease deal out of my home state, (NY). Anyone have an answer?

Question regarding leasing for Hosts: by ke72spn on Sat Nov 03 21:29:20 PDT 2007; I test drove and loved an 08 Sypder GS Manual w/leather today and was given some numbers. I didn't push too hard, since it is the beginning of the month, but think I have settled on this vehicle. They had 8 of them and Buffalo winter is just about to start = I can't imagine this is a hot item right now. I am looking for the money factor and residual for the vehicle. As per all of your previous advice, I asked the dealer to give me a quote with only the fees down, no cap cost reduction and was quoted the following: $27,483 MSRP ??????? Sale Price 391 x 48 @ 15,000 miles per year Cars direct has this vehicle selling in my area for $200 under invoice, so I should be able to get it for $25,795. As a side note, I was in there today (Saturday), it was 65 and sunny - you could have set a cannon off in the showroom. They didn't have another customer the entire three hours I was there. I am going to wait until the end of the month to more forcefully negotiate. I am interested in knowing what the current programs are.

I was between the Lancer and a Scion but it was in the end easy to decide after reading raving reviews online and seeing close to NOTHING negative anyone (yet) had to say!!! First 5 hours so far, wonderful! Got to work 20 minutes early :P (was so excited to drive it, left too early!) Boss is happy I have more inspiration to get to work!!! Total cost after my trade-in w/ sun & sound (includ. tax, etc.) - $20k I am financing (+ worth it!!!!!!) - Located on Long Island, NY.

Also, why not upstate NY? You share a common border there as well. Syracuse area, or Buffalo area. Go to the Mitsubishi USA website. I would suspect more aggressive pricing would be found towards Boston. More competition there.
