I am a car nerd. I admit, I was being a bit inflammatory. That does not justify Mark Chartrand going completely ballistic. I was calm and civilized until he pushed me. After jump-starting a dead Cobalt, I took it for a test-drive. Along the way, Mark Chartrand said some things about the car that were not true. At the end of the test-drive, I called him out on these misstatements. He became rude and defended his statements. I left. I came back the next day with some spec sheets, "Confessions of a Car Salesman", and an article on how to sell cars in the information age. He lost it. He cussed me out, called me all sorts of names, and told me to get out. I told him to admit he lied to me. He angrily admitted that he "made a mistake". After leaving, I realized, "This guy who's really mad at me...he knows where I live." I turned around. I asked to have his copy of my license. He refused. I tried to take it from him, and he pushed me. A light push from an old man, but still grounds for prosecution. I yelled when he pushed me, which prompted another salesman to run over. I told the other salesman that I simply wanted the copy of my license back, and then I would leave. He took the copy from the enraged salesman and handed it to me. I left. I hope he loses his job over this.
