I have purchased my last 3 cars from Lexus of Wayzata, and the last 2 from Jon S. After receiving a "Happy Holidays" email from him, I decided to check what used SUVs they had in stock. They happened to have a Lexus RX 400h (a hybrid!). The biggest complaint I had with my current car (Porsche Cayenne, bought used from Lexus because I was planning to buy a horse trailer at the time) was the gas mileage. I needed to be able to pull a pop-up camper (went with that instead of the horse trailer) but didn't need the V8 I had. I really doubted that Lexus could give me what I owed on my car, but since I had worked with Jon in the past, I knew I would be able to say "I can't afford this new car" and walk away if I had to. In the end, I was honest with Jon with what I could afford, and we made it work! I actually had my mind up that I was just looking at the car, but there I was agreeing to buy it. And the more I thought about it, the more I realized what a great deal I got. I had the opposite of buyer's remorse - buyer's glee? I couldn't stop telling people what a great deal I got. I know in a few years I'll do the same thing - find a used car on the Lexus website, email Jon, and come in and buy the car. I have always gotten a fair deal with him and Lexus of Wayzata. Their cars last forever and their service is the best.
