Seriously, I've NEVER had the service guys put pressure on me for extra service that wasn't needed... Not even for scheduled maintenance that I may have fallen behind on - oh they will chat with me about what needs to be done, but they leave it up to me; whether I decide to get it done now, later, or do it myself. As a matter of fact, I appreciate them keeping my car on schedule - that keeps her running at top performance, which is a very responsible goal. An investment like a new 350Z is not to be taken lightly, I prefer to take care of my car so it lasts as long as possible. My car runs as good as the day I bought it due to the service department, just as I expect. Not only that, but getting scheduled mainenance will save you BIG money in the long run - e.g. Better to have the trasmission fluid changed according to the schedule, than it is to purchase a new transmission later. I have a hard time believing that you are talking about Luther Nissan, I've never seen the type of behavior you are talking about - never. I've been taking my car there for five years and they have been nothing but courteous and professional - and they NEVER have pressured me for extra service. You don't expect your car to run if you dont put gas in it, why would you expect it to run if you don't maintain it properly? The service department's JOB is to let you know what your car needs - that's what they do. If they fail at that, then you should complain. Don't complain for them doing a good job at keeping your car in great shape - that's what they are there for. They are there for you.
