Overpriced and underserved.

Ehhh....I know it's happening at many, though definitely not all dealerships, where they are selling new vehicles for a 30% to 40% markup over invoice and factory SRP. Talked to a salesperson over the phone, I'm local living in Texas township and I can guarantee that myself and my family will never buy a vehicle or get our factory warranty work done at any dealership that's practicing this type of business. There's plenty of dealerships around this area and Tapper Ford being a small town dealership should know better than pull this type of sales tactic that only give credence to the popular opinion that car sales people are the only occupation shadier than lawyers. I will say we purchased a vehicle from Tapper over a year ago for our daughter however we will not be bringing it to them for any warranty work or other maintenance and repairs.

April 27, 2017 Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of “negotiating” a vehicle trade deal with Mr. Gene Motuzas {“Gene-O”} at Tapper Ford, in Paw Paw. I visited the dealership for the first time after comparatively shopping the various internet advertisements from many southwest Michigan dealers, and finding what appeared to me to be the best, most appropriate vehicle deal for me at Tapper’s. From the first meeting I had with “Gene-O”, I must say that I truly enjoyed an experience I had not necessarily been looking forward to. I found him to be very sincere, friendly yet business-like and well equipped to patiently answer any and all of my questions. I was very impressed with everyone I came in contact with at Tapper’s, in fact. I am completely satisfied with the terms of the final agreement we arrived at, as well. I’m quite certain that I got a fair deal on a high quality used truck which will give me many years of pleasurable, dependable service. The only minor reservations I had after test driving and closely inspecting the vehicle were satisfactorily and completely addressed at no cost to me, and in fact Tapper’s went “above and beyond” my expectations to finalize the deal.
