2007 SL Quest vs SE Quest
by nhonickman on Sun Jul 30 17:05:32 PDT 2006
I am looking to purchase a pretty loaded Vehicle but noticed the SL can not be equipeed with VDC without the Nav/Pax package(like another $3200) What I want: 2007 SL SL Prem. package Skyview w/ Sirius SL upgrade Seat package micorfilter MSRP $36415 but no VDC invoice $33132 ...they have offered this Quest w/ misc options(they have 6 in FL region w/ MSRP of $36855..must have floor mats or whatever also...started "$400 over invoice" $33950 supposedly non-negoitable) But the 2007 SE with VDC and DVD/tech package list out $38055 w/o misc crappy addons...that should be included ie floor mats...I figure same price of $400 invoice so car would be $1500 more to get VDC Long winded ...is the Nissan VDC(vehicle Dynamic control) worth that much
Any new Activity?

This forum has been very helpful, we were originally looking at a Kia, then got swayed to the quest and this forum has done a lot to ease my mind. We currently have a 1998 Mercury Villager (Quest clone) with 90K miles and are pretty happy, although it has had its share of small issues it has been a good car. We are now looking for a 06 sexy red 3.5S or 3.5SL with the SE package, best bet so far has been a 3.5SL with SE package in FL for $23,500...but its white. Anyway, Found a 3.5 SL w/SE and DVD in NJ for $25,200. This is all after the $3K rebate Nissan is offering now. Any thoughts out there? is this a good deal and is the 06 Quest that much better then the 05 in quality? Anyone have any scoop on if the rebates will stay or go up for June, we are getting pressured to do this before the end of the month. One other question, we have never bought a new car from other then a local dealer, how do the local dealers treat you when you bring in a new car bought elsewhere? Is warranty usually a no problem attitude? I know this will be subjective to each dealer but in general have you folks that have bought through the internet found your local dealer fairly ready to deal with warranty and service work?
06 Mountaineer
by autoboy16 on Mon Mar 27 16:20:53 PST 2006
looking to buy or lease an 06 mountaineer primer 2wd v8 w/ 3rd row, and most goodies. Trying to leave behind an 04 explorer xls. 1 simple question i can't find the answer to... In the 04, the rear seats don't recline. Do they on the 06 mountaineer? No time to visit dealership 32miles away. Thinking on buying within 3-12 months. Would anyone recommend the darker colors? Is the nav system worth the extra money performance wise(does it call with blue tooth or play dvd's while parked)? Nearest ford place is less than a mile away but want to see the mountaineer to see what I'm dealing with. :)

Wanted to rate my new Mariner Hybrid. However, Hybrid Mariner Evaluation Selection Not Yet Posted! Hello!! This happens to be the Most Revolutionary Ford Product Since the Model A!! See my prvious note. My overall rating: 9 to 9.5. Certainly worth the investment in the technology.
Mercury Mariner Hybrid

I have had my Mariner Hybrid for about a month. I am very impressed and am now sold on Hybrid Technology. The on board energy system makes me smile when it displays 31mpgs.!! The build quality is excellent and so is the sound system/NAV System. My only constructive criticism: Make the tilt steering wheel tilt a bit higher. A Climate Control System (with Max A/C Lockout) should be available. PS I can't wait for a Lincoln Aviator Hybrid!!

Was that dealer offer after the rebates? If so was it 2500$ or 3000$
