Any Discounts on E320 Bluetec?
by klister on Tue Oct 30 15:53:17 PDT 2007
Pricing an 08 E320 w/P2, etc. Dealer quoting minimal discount around $1k or so from MSRP. Is the market for the E320 so good that it can be priced that much higher than the discounted prices for the E350? Any experiences out there?
I just got a GL320 $1000 above Invoice

The car is $72,395 MSRP. from SC Dick Dyer I don't care about what other people say. I know I got a good deal, last day to fit in 4.9% financing too. Consider this. 1. There is a shortage of GL320 2. Color requirements from my wife. 3. Options requirements from ny wife. 4. Look at BLUE BOOK value from KBB, it is over the MSRP. Good luck all the GL hunter, get away all the bull shiter
Re: Mercedes-Benz S-Class: Lease Questions [Car_man]
by ffcobra on Wed Jan 04 23:19:27 PST 2006
Hi Car_Man - My wife's pregnant with our first child and we have two sports cars, so one has to go to make room for a 4-door. We has almost decided to buy an E500 used until I saw an eBay ad from a company called Dick Dyer MB in SC that was selling S500's for about $16,500 off the sticker. That was yesterday. Today, the $10,000 MB money seems to be gone. Since you are an expert on leasing and seem to know a lot about MB USA programs, do you think they will introduce a new lease program or offer more cash to help dealers unload the 2006 S-Classes before the new S550's start to hit the lots? Yesterday a $90,300 car was $73,800. Today its $83,800. I wish one of the MANY MB dealers we were talking with over the past two weeks would have told us about the $10,000. Not a single dealer tried to move us up from a $66,000 E500 to an S500. I did a spread sheet on buying the S500 and it looks like my net cost to own the car would be something like the following. I'm trying to figure out if leasing is better than buying. If I look at keeping the car for 3 years, it would cost me about $1,350 a month is a dealer would sell the car for $1,500 over invoice. But with the extra $10,000 my cost goes down to under a $1,000 a month. What would a lease run? http://www.ffcobra.com/images/mbs500ver1.xls Thanks, Bill

Invoice?
by thankthepasser on Sat Feb 26 22:28:19 PST 2005
I was 100% set on buying a BMW 3.0 Z4 when I woke up this morning. I even planned on buying it in the next 3 - 5 days. But, when I was out today, I decided I owed it to myself to check out the other options from competitors. So I went to Lexus, and looked at the SC (even though I realize it's not really in competition with the roadster/convertibles). Went and checked out the Boxster S. And then, I showed up at the MB dealership. At first glance, I wasn't too impressed with the SLK 350 -- even the AMG. Nor was my wife. But the more I looked at it, the more it grew on me. I spoke with a salesman a little bit, and was totally upfront with him. I told him I was pretty set on buying a Z4, but wanted to take one last peek around to see what else is out there. He was really nice and understanding, didn't hassle me, and let me poke, prod, crawl in and out, and play with it to my heart's content. And I found myself liking it more. Then he asked if I wanted to take it for a spin. And I loved it. I'm not totally, 100% sold on the looks (especially from the side), but it is definitively a better vehicle on the interior than the Z4. So ... all this being said, I am definitely interested in it, and am wondering if anyone knows where I can find out any invoice information on the invoice for these cars, since Edmunds does not carry it? Thanks for your help.
