My new 2007 Touring 5sp: by sonodad1 on Fri Mar 30 18:14:12 PDT 2007; I just got home after buying a 2007 Touring 5sp, no options. I had my bags packed for a 4 hour drive to D.C. to buy a 2007 Sport 5sp, but I decided to check the small local dealer first, Berglund Mazda in Salem, VA. As it turns out, they had the Touring 5sp as their loss leader in the local newspaper ad for 16995, incl. destination. A few hours later it was mine for 17858, out the door. Frankly I didn't want the extras that come with the Touring, but at more than $1500 under invoice, it was cheaper than driving 4 hours to buy a Sport 5sp, which would have cost at least $500 more. I'm happy to finally have my Mazda5!

I was pretty excited that the salesman did not try to add anythign to the price. If anyone is interested it was the Mazda dealership in Salem VA; I'll give you the salesman's name if requested. PS: This was the first new vehicle I've ever purchased. I still can't believe what a huge difference there can be from one dealership to the next. Must be different managerial styles or something, I don't know for sure but I was treated so well as compared to other places I've been.

Power Mazda: by archer3 on Thu May 25 07:15:02 PDT 2006; Just bought a carbon gray touring in Salem, OR. We live about 150 miles away. Price was set at 200 over dealer invoice over the phone. Paperwork was ready when we got there took about 30 minutes to look everything over and take a tour of the vehicle. Easiest car buying experience of my life. $20,700 out the door. Remote start, satellite radio, auto, cargo cover, cargo net, rear step, and the nice floor mats. Included title, tags, and full tank of gas.
