I am not sure. We never went through everything to add in the "admin" costs. We were just looking at the vehicle price. I am in Dayton, OH and I am also looking at Cincinnati, OH. I looked the AMEX Buyer Program and got a price of $34,888, but I wonder if that also includes $500 Mazda loyalty cash. The $34,967 did.

I just bought an '08 Touring w/ remote engine start, cargo cover, and roof rack for $20,055 in Dayton, OH. I thought that was a great deal, but $18,869--wow, that's incredible. Congrats! I used the web to get quotes and to start a bidding war among dealerships. Matt Castrucci Mazda in Dayton was great--fast, friendly, honest, and detail-oriented through the whole process. We wanted the galaxy gray cover, but there weren't any left on the lot. We could've ordered one, but the dealer said he'd knock off $300 if we took one of his lot. Fortunately, my wife really liked the golden sand color once she saw it in person (the car's for her). Depending on the lighting, it either looks gold, tan, pale green, or all the above. People seem to love it or hate that color. So long as my wife's happy, I am, too. I think I read every last consumer comment on this car before purchasing, including this forum--thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts. We couldn't be happier with this car.

Not limited to Mazda's. by mazdafun on Fri Apr 04 04:58:12 PST 2003

It's pretty much the owner of the dealership that sets the tone. I've had bad experiences from Ford, Honda, Mazda, Nissan....you name it (well, except for Saturn...they've always been very easy to deal with). On the other hand, I've had good experiences at the same brands, just at different dealerships. Around here, the ones I find easier to deal with are those belonging to Jeff Wyler. Jake Sweeney has improved. I still abhor Performance, Kerry and Superior dealerships. The ones at Kings Auto Mall are of mixed ownership, but the Toyota and Mazda dealerships there seem to be OK. Hidy Honda up in Dayton is much nicer than the Honda dealerships here in Cincinnati (shame too, as they offer some nice vehicles).
