Its got the sports package, bose audio, navigation, and moonroof and got the final price to $23,400. Bought it from Irwin Mazda in Freehold, NJ. Dennis, It looks like it has bose and a moonroof, along with a sport package - so it sounds like a touring package. even if it was just a sport pkg and nav - 4 to 4.5 k under invoice would have been nice. I'm about to lease a 2005 sport/6cd/rotary/net for 2.5K under invoice. thought about the touring pkg, but i need the headroom and the homelink blocks the already limited outward visibility. I'm happy :) to get such a deal, but surprised :surprise: that more people don't want this car - and they have to use incentives to get it off their lots. sad. :( i love this car. :shades: jackie

bought an 04 rx-8 6MT titanium grey about 5 months ago, but new to the forum. Its got the sports package, bose audio, navigation, and moonroof and got the final price to $23,400. Bought it from Irwin Mazda in Freehold, NJ. I was about to buy a similar one in philadelphia, from PACIFICO MAZDA where i had a unique buying experience. When i first came in to see the car the price they gave me was about $500 more than the initial internet price i received which got me into their dealership to begin with. Frustrating, a little dishonest, but expected. Then they gave me this nonsense that they actually received the car from another dealer and paid that other dealer $1000 over invoice to get the car because they thought the car would sell quickly so if they gave me a price under invoice they'd be losing money. I just left and immediately got a phone call the next morning saying they'd give it to me for $4000 under invoice "after a long discussion with the owner of the dealership" (yeah, ok) Then when i came in to finalize everything they told me they could only give me the financing and interest rate for a used car, cause the car was technically "used". I said well if its used then adjust the price im paying to reflect that, they said they couldnt do that because it was actually still new. What a run around, not worth my time and a horrible dealership in terms of ownership, management and salesmenship. If anyone wants to know what dealership not to go to in the northeast......its PACIFICO MAZDA in PHILADELPHIA.

I posted this elsewhere, but thought I would post it here too. Thanks to those who gave me leads to the various cars here or other places! Forum rules say no contact info, so that has been removed. I am getting a new 05, so I am no longer in the market for a new 04 so I thought I would share the ones I know about with others who may be looking. If your dealer has a new 04, you might do the same. Since Mazda removed the 04s from the inventory search it makes it a lot harder to find them. These are the ones I know about and all are 6mt cars: 2004 sunlight silver GT w/appearance, changer, wind deflector, spoiler, accents, spare. Invoice should be around $30,461 including destination. Dealer offered it to me for invoice - $4,000 - 100% of hold back ($534) - doc fee (the doc fee is added back on). Should be around $25,925 if I did my math right. The car has about 500 miles on it and is in good shape. I test drove it and drove really nice. It is at Mike Creque Mazda in Franklin, TN. Ask for ____ _____ (Internet sales manager) (615) xxx-xxxx . As of this morning still available. 2004 red GT w/NAV. This dealer has 3 of them (last time I talked to them) all the same, just GT and NAV. Asking $26,200 + $50 doc fee. Invoice is around $30,255 so that price is right at invoice and they keep the $534 hold back. The dealer is Raines Mazda in Charleston, WV. (304) xxx-xxxx . I talked with ____ ____. All the cars are supposed to have "just a few" miles on them. 2004 red GT w/NAV. Loaded up with every option. MSRP of $35,819, offered at $29,716 (too high, I thought). Irwin Lincoln Mercury Mazda Freehold, NJ (732) xxx-xxxx 2004 gray touring w/NAV - MSRP of $33,609. Has the touring pack (cloth seats) and NAV I know - not sure about the other options. Offered to me for $26,095. I talked to ____ ____ at Kempthorn Motors Canton, Oh (800) xxx-xxxx . 2004 yellow GT w/NAV - MSRP of $35,499. Has about every option: NAV, appearance, changer, etc. Asking $28,500. ____ ____ (210) xxx-xxxx Northpark Mazda in San Antonio, TX. Go get 'em! Dennis

What dealers are you seeing this at? I'm just curious because I have yet to see more than one at a time at the local dealership here in Freehold, NJ, and the one I see keeps changing color so I have to think that they keep selling them. But maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place.
I got my MZ6s on Aug-6-2003

It sure is one of a kind. honestly. No dealer within a 300 mile radius had anything like it. Credit goes to MazdaUSA online inventory search. I located the car on 29-july-2003 and called up the dealer, only to find out that the car is still "en-route" or as they say "inbound". I put a deposit of $500 down using my credit card, right there on the phone. The car arrived on Tuesday 5-aug-2003. I went to the dealership on 6-aug-2003 and picked it up. All the paperwork was ready, including my 0% financing. Great job by the saleperson Janno and John Rios of Irwin(Richards) Mazda, Freehold, NJ. I was driving my Mz6 within the hour, back home. Details: ======= Glacier silver metallic. V6 Manual transmission App. Pkg. Rear wing spoiler Gray leather + comfort (no black for me...ughh) 6-cd changer (sounds way better than single cd player) moonroof fog lamps cargo net wheel locks All from the factory. nothing dealer installed. Price paid: 23,000 even (including TTL) No trade-in.
