Buying a car from a Mazda Car Dealer

NV Mazda Car Consumer Discussions

Northern Nevada Mazda dealers truly suck by rhester on Tue Mar 13 20:58:27 PDT 2007

I've had my eye on two cars. One RX-8 and a Mazdaspeed3. For the 3 the dealer is not budging from $2.5k over MSRP. For the RX-8, an 06 Shinka package the dealer wants over $30k for it AFTER the 3k rebate. It Blue Books at $28,250 which is what I offered. You'd think they'd want to get rid of it. Ah well, maybe I'll broaden my search into Northern Cal. I'm in no hurry. Is there a list of Mazda dealers anywhere? The Mazdausa.com site only lists those dealers within 150 miles and even then it seems to miss some.

Yeah I got the Mazda3 GT package and paid around $21.6 for it which was not really very much under MSRP (like $500 or so). I believe it's only available in 3s form.

To accomodate all of your needs the GT package is definitely the way to go. With the Moonroof/6-CD changer/Bose Audio package the MSRP is $21,060. I got the exact same vehicle in Titanium Grey with automatic transmission and I love the car.

Proud new owner of a 2006 Grand Touring edition by rhester on Thu Oct 06 12:10:21 PDT 2005

Last week I checked on the Mazda website to see whether any dealer had a Grand Touring edition in the Reno area. I get two hits: one in Reno and one 100 miles away in California. I call the Mazda dealership and it is on water - yet to arrive on the lot. They tell me it's not due for another three weeks. Yesterday they call me and tell me that the vehicle arrived the previous evening! One two-hour lunch later and I am driving out of there in my brand-spanking-new titanium grey GT. It had only been on the lot for 18 hours total :) The car has automatic transmission (girlfriend needs to be able to drive it too) and comes with the 6-CD changer/moonroof option. I paid $400 under MSRP which came to approx $21.6k. I know I could have got a better deal but I guess that's the price you pay for getting a rarer model so soon after hitting the market. Having said that, if the car had been $25k I'd still feel I'd gotten my moneys worth...there is just so much car here. I've only driven it for 45 miles but what can I say....beautiful car. I cannot believe how quiet the thing is! Coming from a 99 Miata though I guess anything would be quiet :) I only have one way to categorize this car...it's a luxury sport-compact!

2003 Mazda 6i pricing by drraman82 on Mon Dec 27 21:56:43 PST 2004

Hello,   I'm interested in a 2003 M6i 4-door sedan from an Internet Auto Dealer in Reno, NV. The car is silver, automatic, ABS, basic power options. The mileage is 18,000. The dealer says retail is about $18500 and they bought it wholesale for $15,700. I'm thinking this is pretty steep for a 2003 model with 18,000 miles. I was thinking about offering $13,500 to start. Is this too low for a car like this, and if so, what should I think about spending for an M6i with these specs.   Thanks.
