09 sport/auto, wheel locks, got them to throw in all-weather floor mats & cargo liner $17090 + $100 dealer processing & $20 electronic registration fee = $17,210. OTD in VA was $17,824 Bought from Congressional Mazda in Rockville, MD but had two other dealers matching the same price: Brown's Chantillly (VA) Mazda and Gaithersburg (MD) Mazda. Chantilly has the largest stock left, Rockville has at least 1 manual too.

Bought a Manual Shift Sport, in gray, for $16,888.20 out the door -- $16,850 minus $1750 dealer cash brought the sale price to $15,100, plus $670 freight, $946.20 Maryland tax, + $172 in fees. Found Maryland dealers were willing to waive the $100 dealer processing fee, though after agreeing to waive it, my dealer -- Congressional Mazda, Rockville, MD -- tried to tack it back on at delivery. Also, caught the dealer pumping up title/registration fees. I had settled on price by e-mail and ended up knocking another $70 off just by insisting that they break down the fees and explain how they were doing the math. Brown's Fairfax had attractive ads but in the end would go no lower than $17,400 OTD for the same vehicle. Castle Mazda would match Congressional but would not deal any further. Gaithersburg Mazda seems to have a bunch of 5's in stock - presume there are more good deals to be had as the last of the '09s are just coming into port.
Re: 8.5k plus 0%APR for 60 Good? [cwakefield]

Yes, here's what i got: (actually, only 8k off) CX-9 touring 2008 -MSRP $36,140 (DVD and Bose) Dealer discount -$7998 ($28,270) TTL (MD 6% tax) = $2,093 TOTAL delivered selling price=$30,240 +0% APR for 60 months (with a down payment of $4500 my monthly payments come out to $429 a month.) If i didn't take the 0% APR, I would have gotten a little more than $10,000 off MSRP. (my credit score was 715) This was from Castle Mazada in Silver Spring, Maryland. I called 4-5 dealers in the DC area and went to one other in Gaithersburg, but no one could come close to this price with 0% APR (the most they would take off was $2,000-$2,500) The salesperson told me that they were trying to get rid of this particular car. and that's why i was able to get this deal...
2008 Grand Touring (automatic) w/Sunroof &Bose 6-CD

After much shopping around: Gaithersburg Mazda Gaithersburg, MD 20879 MSRP: $ 22,815 Lowest Bid: $19,650 + TTL After a week of negotiating, I backed out at the last minute and did not buy. I love the car, but after long consideration, I decided it's just too small for me. I literally had the paperwork in front of me when I backed out. I feel bad about teasing the dealer, but I feel good about the decision. There seem to be some great deals out there right now. This was a fantastic price.
Finally sealed a deal

After several months of looking for a black, automatic, sport, Mazda 5 we finally purchased one for $17300 from Gaithersburg Mazda in MD. I was firm on not having a freight charge added so we were happy to get out the door with taxes/title/tags, etc for just under $18500. Looking forward to picking it up this Saturday. Is anyone out there buying the Teflon coating, our dealership is recommending it for the black clear coat. Is this necessary?? Looking forward to our Zoom Zoom!

$19,750 for MT s with leather and comfort pkg. MRSP was $22,820. Rosenthal Mazda, Gaithersburg, MD. Dealer financed for 42months at 3.6%. Nice people, easy to do business with. Negotiated entirely over phone and email. Contact via cars.com.    Ran into an exceptional number of sleezeballs, who did not want to give info, but tried desperately to get me into the showroom so they could apply pressure. Russel Mazda catonsville md was the worst. I think it is very important to nail down a price before going to the showroom to buy the car. Re mileage: 500mi. is a lot, especially if it is a MT. I passed on a number of cars because of high mileage. I lucked out at Rosenthal, and got one with 4mi. Prob. because they had a fairly large inventory. Most lots are running out, which means the remaining cars will tend to have high mileage.
