Re: Price on 2010 Mazda 3 Grand Touring Hatch [woodstockguy] by igozoomzoom on Tue Jan 18 00:37:06 PST 2011

I noticed the "woodstock" in your user name and wondered if it Woodtock, GA...I'm a Cherokee County native, born and raised, I live up in the northwest corner of the county in Waleska, several miles beyond Reinhardt College. I moved away for about 7 years, if you consider Vinings as "moving away"! =) I knew for certain that you had to live in Cherokee (or Cobb) based on the 6% sales tax rate. We're the only two counties north of Atlanta that aren't 7%...lucky us! I took a look at the 2010 Mazda3 5-door inventory in the Atlanta area and it looks like this car is at Jim Ellis in Marietta....correct? There are only five 2010 5-door Grand Touring 6MT models in the state. Two of them are IDENTICAL- Velocity Red MIca, Bose/Moonroof Pkg, Technology Pkg- sticker price of $25,485. One is at Jim Ellis in Marietta and the other is at Moss Robertson Cadillac-Mazda in Gainesville. You might want to send them and email for a quote just to see what they might offer...if they go lower, you could either buy from them or get Jim Ellis to match it...just thought I'd mention that. The Velocity Red looks awesome with the black grille and trim on the front- UGA colors! I have a Titanium Gray 2006 Mazda3 s 5-door with Black & Red checked cloth interior. I've always called it my UGA interior. =) Back in 12/05 when I was shopping for my Mazda, it wasn't easy tracking down one with the right colors/options/transmission and when you did, dealers weren't willing to discount them very much! I ended up going to Knoxville, TN to buy mine! Let me double check the current incentives and a few other things and I'll get back to you very shortly.....

Re: Mazda3 iTouring purchase [tesalin] by igozoomzoom on Mon Dec 14 14:59:41 PST 2009

I did a little research and here's what I found- It looks like there has been a base price increase at some point since the 2010 model was introduced. The base price is now $19,475, but it was originally $19,100. If you can find one of these, they've been sitting on the lot longer and you may be able to get the best deal because of that. Gray Epperson Mazda (Cleveland, TN), Keith Hawthorne Mazda (Gastonia, NC) and Paramount Mazda (Hickory, NC) all have at least one @ $19,100 in Gunmetal Blue. Jim Ellis Mazda in Marietta, GA has one with the Moonroof/6CD/Bose package at the lower base price also in Gunmetal Blue ($20,495). Mazda Knoxville (TN) has four silver ones at $19,100. Montgomery Mazda (Charlotte, NC) has one with the auto/compass mirror for $19,300. Jay Mazda (Columbus, GA) has one with the Moonroof/6CD/Bose priced the same as the Blue one at Jim Ellis Mazda. I'd start by contacting all of those dealers for quotes. Try using the 'Search Inventory' feature on Mazda's website, then you can click 'Request Quote' on each particular model that interests you... Good luck!

I just picked up my 6i touring manual 2/28 by rj_atl on Sun Mar 01 07:06:32 PST 2009

I got the last 6i touring manual in GA for essentially invoice-3000, plus a "dealer fee" of 399. My OTD price was 19626 (7%sales tax) on an invoice of 21019. Then I negotiated the trade, and I got 6300 for my 02 Honda Accord EXV6 (I got in a wreck with it last year, so that diminished the value slightly). I could have taken the financing, but the cashback was a better deal since I am only financing $13000, and my credit union will give me 4.75%/60 mos. I used a couple of dealers, but I ended up with the salesman at Jim Ellis in Marietta since he would respond more quickly and directly to my questions. it made it more difficult since there was only 1 touring manual around, so I basically would have had to pay them to bring in a car from Tennessee if it was not going to be buy the one in the area. So I'm figuring it cost me about $400 extra to trade it in rather than sell myself (trade in tax savings brings the value I got to about 6800, vs. 7200 on my own), which I would be happy to pay to avoid the hassle and risk of selling it myself. I really like driving stick, but I'm 6'3", so I really appreciate the space in this car, especially compared to the 6th gen accord with its low slung dash that took away knee room. My only concern is I worry about the long term maintenance of the push button start. I would be fine with a normal key. It seems like something like that could end up being bmw-or-volkswagen-type-expensive-repair if it did fail.

Re: Our CX-9 order [okeyobiozo] by sellstar1 on Wed May 16 18:10:09 PDT 2007

We paid about $32,400 for FWD GT, Moonroof, Auto Start, Bose, wheel locks, cargo net, cargo cover and splash guards. Bought at Jim Ellis in Marietta, GA. So I didn't get the Navi or backup camera but got remote start instead. But, you got yours two months before me as well.

Re: Mazda 3: Prices Paid & Buying Experience [KarenS] by thebigpapi34 on Sun Aug 20 21:05:03 PDT 2006

I purchased a brand new 4dr 2006 mazda3 i touring for $535 below dealer invoice in marietta ga. Unfortunately all the dealerships in GA have a non-negotiable $400 fee for admin (docs titles etc - all stuff I could have done on my own). Still I think I got a good deal. It takes patience. Don't be afraid to send the salesman back to his sales manager 4 or 5 times before you get the deal you want - I'm sure they still made plenty of money off me.
